    Pros

Great environment to work. Good team relationship. Average income. Very good health insurance, strong HR presence. Coworkers are very committed in action plans, task forces.

    Cons

The current manager usually achieved goals by threatening the employees, he doesn't know how to motivate his team. Poor marketing plans, courses prohibited. No growth plan. Bad process support.

    Advice to Management

Feedback and team support. No threat!

    Pros

entrepreneurial spirit in less established countries for their small teams, (dairy & yogurt division

    Cons

ALL top management is French or at least a couple French Expats! This was the case in many geographies worldwide. Their website claims they are a diverse company but that is absolutely not true. Being French puts you at a huge advantage over your peers. In other multinational companies such as Kraft, Mondelez, Pepsi, Unilever see you a huge diversity when it comes to country of origin but not in Danone. If you're French, your career is limitless but if you're not French that is a huge obstacle. At higher levels, the French people who are typically upper management, start to congregate and speak French. In Asia you had a French person running at least operations & as the general manager at minimum. In China it was the worst I had seen globally as it was full of expats as directors: marketing director, supply chain director, logistics director, market research director, general manager, and the finance director. Globally, there are even positions for regular level managers who become expats even though they are less seasoned employees simply because they are French.

    Advice to Management

More diversity! Too much French and especially French men at the top. Also, nepotism is huge. Which is a vicious cycle because at the end it is even more French people. This company is way behind other similar profile companies when it comes to diversity at the top levels.

    Pros

You can be promoted very quickly. We have seen secretaries promoted to entry level positions in marketing, supply chain, and sales in less than six months. But that is also a possible sign of finding a lack of qualified applicants from outside.

    Cons

High turnover rate. The company has the lowest score for employee satisfaction feedback surveys annually. Managers and directors have no long term vision or experience when put into their positions. It is a mess and creates a bad environment for growth, so you end up looking for other opportunities.

    Cons

-Competitive but not so rewarding environment: competition among managers is encouraged but few development opportunities are offered This results in a high level of turnover after 3, 4 years of experience

    -Lack of processes

I worked at Danone full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a good company to start your career in. you will be exposed to lots of learning experience and a diverse work place. there is a good proximity between top management and middle managers. it is a very friendly place

    Cons

salaries are low compared to any other multinational in Egypt. There are lots of office politics and allies. you will often find favorites in every department and usually those favorites will be exposed to more opportunities.

    Advice to Management

I think you should put of focus on personal growth and equality. it is really sad to find such a great companies with such bad office politics.
