I worked at Danya International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Important projects staffed by dedicated people.

    Cons

The company was purchased in May of 2016. My former co workers tell me that the company has been on a downward spiral ever since as the new management is clueless about the market the company was in and the company's capabilities. Cost of benefits have dramatically increased or been cut.

    Advice to Management

Get a new crew in. These guys don't get it.

I have been working at Danya International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people that work there are professional and a nice group to work with. The work that is done is important and beneficial.

    Cons

Company was recently purchased and the new management is more concerned with the bottom line then employee welfare. Not a good place to work anymore. Jeff Hoffman, the former CEO, is no longer there.

I have been working at Danya International full-time

    Pros

The company I started working for had its flaws, but it seemed to have more of a heart. You'll notice a lot of older employees working for Danya, some with 5, 10, 15 years of service. Flexible work for some positions allowing telecommuting. Possible room for growth if you are best friends with a manager.

    Cons

Benefits have been eroding and employee costs increasing. Leave days cut, and like another reviewer mentioned, there is a near-constant threat of layoffs every year or more. Turnover is high. The only way we know someone is leaving is their personal goodbye email. Management does not communicate with the staff or plan for the changes that the employee's departure will cause.

I agree with the other reviewer that the executive management has no interest in the worker bees at all. The only times we interact is in meetings and 75% of that involves no news or bad news.

    Advice to Management

Stop letting the client walk all over you and use some sense. If you double the workload of your employees, increase their pay accordingly. Don't be surprised so many very qualified people are walking out the door.

Core Values, Vision and mission of organization was a strong connection - and truly supported employee in time of family needs.

    Cons

Positions RIF - could have offered more support to connect RIF employee's with other job opportunities. Otherwise, enjoyed my experience working with DANYA

I have been working at Danya International (More than a year)

    Pros

The mission at heart is all well and good and it offers a chance to make a difference in education and health.

    Cons

Constant lay-offs over the past few years without any real cause. Cut backs all around, including paltry paid time off that was recently reduced for all employees. New employees can expect only 12 COMBINED days off for sick, vacation and personal leave, well below industry standard. People in the office have no interest in getting to know you and management couldn't care less about anything other than the bottom dollar, not the mission. Managers will walk right past you without a care in the world and have very poor social skills. You can hear a pin drop in the office at all times. Decisions are made, then minds are changed, then made again, which provides constant frustration when no one can make a decision that sticks for more than 24 hours.

Health insurance premiums have gone up with benefits going down with a switch in providers so they could save money. Be on the look out for other jobs as layoffs may come at any time.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate your methods and take a very close look at your out-of-touch managers. Your employees are people, with families and lives, but you treat them like nothing more than a number and salary adding to your budget. Bagel Fridays don't make up for your questionable ethics and poor management.
