    One of the best international companies to work for.

    Long hours. Lots of overtime and less rest

    Decrease working hours. Flexibility to move to another center around the world.

    - Exposure to huge projects and opportunities
    - Opportunity to make good connections based on working on such big projects with big companies
    - Friendly colleague environment

    - Policies are not always implemented as documented
    - Some people get special treatment due to certain relations
    - Some team leaders lack a proper sense of management
    - Not all departments are created equal

    I worked at Dar Al-Handasah full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    They have really very big and exciting projects to work on. Salary range is not less ( Average).It's possible to go abroad.It provide stability and very good for long run

    Cons

    Worst working environment. No one can live peacefully while working at Dar. You get something at the end of week that destroys weekend. One should consider that Dar is his first home. Too much restriction on work time and not flexible with absences and leaves.

    Advice to Management

    Take employees feedback in to consideration, handle professional and effective ways to monitor employees performance and their learning curve. - Flexible hours will be useful.

    Pros

    It is a good place to work in. It is a community by itself that entails work forces from all over the world where each with different back ground. It provide stability and very good for long run

    Cons

    Work is priority where sometimes one forget that he or she has life. One should consider that Dar is his first home. Too much restriction on work time and not flexible with absences and leaves.

    Pros

    - Very interesting and challenging large scale projects in the Middle East and Africa region.
    - Coordination with other disciplines, within the firm, further enhanced my skills in developing a project throughout its phases from conceptual phase to design development, construction documents, tender and client presentation.

    Cons

    no paid overtime even though overtime hours could reach up to 5 hours per day.

    1. You get to work in the best of international projects.
    2. There is always a new thing to learn.

    Cons

    Working hours can be hectic during submissions but that is not always the case. It will depend on the last minute changes and can be avoided if engineers coordinate well right from the start

    HR department should be more active and involved
