I worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Staff is wonderful and supportive. Definitely has a family feel within your department or departments. Large network of specialists many which can be approached on a day to day basis for recommendations or advice. Good retirement plan.

    Cons

Medical benefits are subpar and expensive especially considering you work for a large medical facility. Communication is fair at best between departments and administration. Administration and management show little to no loyalty to employees despite top of the department for review ratings, work history and reliability

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff... really listen. Management and admin may have the experience and knowledge about money matters etc... but your staff are the ones interacting with the patients and one another. Your employees want the company to be successful.... you need to learn to trust them and communicate with them. Staff are encouraged to advance their educations and should be looked at first when new career opportunities are available.
