I have been working at Dartmouth Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Dartmouth Partners has an exceptional reputation among banking clients. Its easy for all recruitment companies to say they have "unrivalled" relationships, however Dartmouth Partners really are number one or two in all industries they operate in.
-As a new consultant, its a great platform to develop and establish a career. You're surrounded by other employees who are there for the right reasons and the long-term, making the standard generally very high.
-The culture is exceptionally profession which is rare within the recruitment industry. There is true respect towards clients and candidates from everyone in the business.
    - Management is very transparent, and a employees treated professionally.

    Cons

    - No major cons.

    Pros

I worked at Dartmouth Partners for a bit over 6 months, really supportive culture and collaborative environment. Really comes from the top down.

    Cons

Slightly longer than usual working hours to accommodate finance industry

    Advice to Management

Keep investing time and energy into staff, it's what made working there such a great experience

I worked at Dartmouth Partners full-time

    Pros

Good relationships in banking. It's a good place to work as an established recruiter, as the commission structure is strong if you're billing over £150k every 6 months. Some of the directors will really help you develop, but others are very focused on their own figures before those they mentor.

    Cons

Very KPI-lead culture, but with a one-size-fits-all feel. You'll get better commission with other firms if you're a middle of the road biller. The 6-month bonus/threshold scheme feels out of touch with the sales driven culture.

Very high employee turnover (>100% in 2016).

    Advice to Management

The business is profitable, and the communication of that is good, but it doesn't feel like much comes back to the employees. Very cost-cutting approach to a lot of things. Make people feel like they're valued, or they will begin to look around.

I worked at Dartmouth Partners full-time

    Pros

The best culture you can have hope for in recruitment. Supportive, friendly, sociable. Plenty of work to always keep you busy - potential is very clearly there for hard workers who enjoy recruitment. Very thorough in candidate processes, especially at grad-level.

    Cons

Limited standardised training for juniors when I joined but this is in the process of re-work.

I worked at Dartmouth Partners full-time

    Pros

Generally hire well into the business, and a handful of good Directors will help you build a solid recruiting skillset as a developing consultant.

    Cons

Some odd decision making from the top down, which I think in part contributes to a high attrition rate. Could reward staff a bit better than they do - it can at times come across as if the CEO / business is unnecessarily tight with the purse strings.

    Advice to Management

It’s hard to reverse the KPI driven culture that the firm is moving towards, but maybe worth rethinking their approach to business development, which at times can come across as quite aggressive.

I worked at Dartmouth Partners (More than a year)

    Pros

Having moved on a few months ago I can say that the grass isn't always greener. Miss a lot of the culture and there are a great group of people

    Cons

Expectations are high and the company went through growing pains as it "grew up". I hear that things have improved significantly

    Pros

Professional atmosphere and some very good managers, especially compared to many other recruiters. Genuine commitment to training and development.

    Cons

Has been a fair amount of attrition. Struggling to retain the young and bright, which could probably be improved by being a little more generous with comp.

    Advice to Management

If you want to take on and then actually retain the best and brightest, you will need to start treating them that way. The company is very profitable and could easily afford to give a little more back to its employees.

I worked at Dartmouth Partners full-time

    Pros

Great team environment and very professional atmosphere. Directors are very supporting and genuinely want to see you succeed. Very different from typical recruitment firms.

    Cons

As it is a startup (less than 5 years old) they are very quickly becoming quite corporate where they used to not be fussed with KPI's and things, they are now much more concerned with numbers and stats rather than the actual work you are doing.

    Pros

it has a collegiate environment that really puts effort into your growth and wants you to succeed. They are a growing company with an impressive client base and they allow you early on interaction with them.

    Cons

it is a very chaotic time as they are very young still and a high employee turnover that doesn't allow for the teams to work that well together. they also expect a lot from you in the beginning of which some is purely not feasible
