    Pros

Great benefits, lots of opportunity to work from home, room to advance internally

    Cons

Lack of communication is a major issue, and to corporate, politics slow everything down, management is lacking is the ability to separate personal and work

I worked at Dassault Systemes full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive benefits at the point of my departure

    Cons

A company that is out of touch with it's customer's and worse - it's own people. It is also out of time (analogous in the musical sense) with it's own technology, what it's actual customer's needs are, and always operating in catch up mode at all times. This review also excludes the SolidWorks brand.

Do not be fooled by all the glitz and imagery or you will be pay the ultimate price with your career.

A few cons to a potential endless list are:
1.) an old CAD company attempting for years to venture into new unfamiliar technology domains yet no matter what they do they are still an old CAD company at heart and worse - operate that way.

2.) old technology - main product is CATIA V5 a product that's core technology dates back to the late 1970's yet is still a huge revenue generator to their bottom line. This is followed by ENOVIA - another old product revamped to look new but also based on core technology dating back to the early 1990's with layers upon layers of technologies interconnected to make it work with the newer technologies of today (most that did not even exist when the core product was conceived 25+ years ago)

3.) French based company that operates as a French based company in the USA. If you are not familiar with how companies operate in France think bureaucracy, adversary relationships with employees, strife and more. If you are an American who has never worked for such a company do some serious research on this topic in advance.

4.) No real executive leadership in the USA - executives are typically pawns sent over from France or brown noser's based in the US who are politically on a high with executive leadership in France. Executives leadership in the USA is analogous to robots reading a script with zero leadership qualities to begin with nor power to execute.

5.) Disconnects between all internal organizations and groups within a company that supposedly develops tools for companies to collaborate yet fails to collaborate amongst themselves.

6.) The ratio of American employees in the USA is a bit off balance when compared to foreign and H1B visa holding employees. Also few American employees hold high ranking positions of leadership at any level within the organization which translates to career stagnation for many.

    Advice to Management

DS as on organization does not have the ability to listen to anyone other than the handful of executives that have been with the company for 30+ years therefore providing advice is futile

I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great vacation time & PTO, particularly after 5+ years of employment

    Cons

Employees that are not based in France have no growth opportunities, and no recognition. The examples and recurrences are recurrent and happen across the organization. Work/Life balance is inexistent.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There used to be a lot of empowered and talented people working at 3DExcite, formerly RTT. There's potential to turn it around and stop the downward trend, if they can make some key leadership changes. As others have mentioned, they have very good health benefits. But you'll need them... the place is a health hazard.

    Cons

People complained for a while about the acquisition by Dassault, but the problem is failed and hostile leadership. The current leadership has no applicable expertise in the field and lacks vision. As a result the 3DExcite US organization is suffering, not meeting their targets, and falling dramatically in employee satisfaction ratings.

    Advice to Management

Replace the top US leadership before the hard working talent leaves, and the core accounts are lost. Since the start of last year there are increasing incidences of treating reports with contempt, bullying, with more frequent and open expressions of anger in inappropriate ways. People who have been roughly treated have seen the bully behavior, but fear retaliation from the top for bringing it to light.

I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The medical benefits are great.

    Cons

Raises are often terrible at best. The company does a yearly survey each year to find out what areas could use improvement. When the CFO, Kathleen D. spoke to us on the subject, she said that we are paid what they think we are worth and what they think is fair.

    Advice to Management

Stop sending surveys out that create unnecessary meetings and waste everyone in the companies time and then immediately follow up with how we need to work on becoming more efficient as a whole. If you want to talk just to hear yourself speak, then call your cellphone from your work phone and answer it.

    Pros

Good work environment (can concentrate on your work), good vacation time and decent yearly bonus (if company makes profits)

    Cons

Because they add new companies to their family you can always see new people around and you will have no idea what they exactly do in the company ... low salaries ...

    Advice to Management

Please take care of your employees

I have been working at Dassault Systemes (More than a year)

    Pros

A very compelling vision, they are trying to do things that no-one else is even preparing for. Very professional looking marketing.

    Cons

No ability to advance if you are not in France. Too much bureaucracy to be successful in the marketplace. Marketing outpaces their technology, unfortunately.

    Advice to Management

Try to learn more about the companies you acquire - before you acquire them. Stop buying companies for a year to see if your vision and the market are still in sync.
