I worked at Data Recognition Corporation full-time

    Pros

    Weekly bonuses.
    Decent pay.
The pay is done in a timely manner. The training sessions were very helpful

    Cons

There were a lot of distractions during the scoring sessions and the management did not address them.
Some of the staff members were not very friendly.
Some of the projects were not very reliable as readers would be sent home due to lack of enough materials for scoring.

    Advice to Management

To be stricter in managing distractions during scoring periods. Offer a longer lunch break.

I worked at Data Recognition Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - If you are in the right team, you may have the opportunity to work with progressive technologies

    Cons

    - Staff are overworked, especially during the winter and spring months
    - Does not appear to be a clear strategic vision
    - Business ethics have degraded significantly in the past couple years
    - Exec level appears dysfunctional; seem to live in daily fear of being fired by company President.

    Advice to Management

Need a business strategy beyond "just survive another year and make a profit." Fix the issues at the Exec level.

I worked at Data Recognition Corporation part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They treat employees very well! With respect, dignity. Good company to work for from my experience.

    Cons

Only bad thing is it's ALL TEMPORARY! I can understand when you only get X amount of papers and work is done.

    Advice to Management

Keep treating people with respect and they will come back. I know I will!

I have been working at Data Recognition Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Reasonable pay, good hours, not incredibly difficult workflow. Sometimes there's downtime even. Full benefits, reasonable low-end HSA plan.

    Cons

Very erratic workload. Weeks of downtime, then everything is due at once. Management has been increasingly lax on training and there's more offsite hiring lately, which makes communication difficult. The company's priority is signing more clients without regard for schedule, workload, or technological feasibility.

    Advice to Management

There are technologies used that need updating ASAP. More emphasis on training and clear communication protocol. Less overpromising to clients.
