I have been working at Data Systems International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the people are great.
    Relaxed environment.
    Decent work-life balance.
    Personal Holiday and Volunteer Day.
    Free gym membership at OneLife.
Nice office and fun break rooms.

    Cons

The only time they ask for employee feedback is when they're competing to be listed as one of Kansas City's Best Places to Work. That tells you how much (and why) they care.
At least in Development, there's not much potential for career growth.
No 401K match. But you're able to receive bonuses. But even if you do your part and perform your job well you could still miss out on your bonus which ends up feeling like a punch in the gut.
Employee pays for parking. $90 a month to park inside connected garage.

    Advice to Management

The employees that you should want to work there aren't going to stay without better career opportunities. If you just want mediocre employees that don't mind settling for less, keep doing what you're doing. Other companies will gladly take the ones you choose not to recognize and appreciate.
Survey employees about job satisfaction and follow up.

I have been working at Data Systems International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay scale is excellent for employees. They do a great job of being ahead of the market in salary and providing employee perks such as adoption assistance.

    Cons

Difficult to truly feel successful here. Goals are arbitrary and ever changing - long-term planning and strategic planning is somewhat non-existent. Reorganization and shifting of management occurs frequently - very little tenure in teams outside of senior management and some development staff.

No 401K matching, no education assistance. PTO can't be rolled, expires at end of year.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on strategic planning and equip teams with the ability to form long-term plans that will result in successful measures instead of expecting instant results before pulling out the rug and going different directions.

    Cons

No appraisal policy, hire and fire anytime

    Advice to Management

Please be more structured and organised in formulating all your policies
