    Pros

    Plenty of interesting people. The company used to offer Work at home options, but the new COO/CTO has indicated those options are no longer available under his rule.

    Cons

    There has been a 60+ percent turn-over in 2018, with the highest portions coming from middle to senior management roles. DFT has a culture of “pass the blame so someone else gets fired” these days. The comments about forcing employees to leave reviews while someone stands over their shoulder is true. It happened to me.     Advice to Management

    It’s Cerner all over. Finding top talent will be real issue as you continue to develop a very poor reputation in KC. Like Cerner, DFT is becoming a chop shop of less talented people hoping to get enough resume filler to get a better job.

    I worked at DataFile Technologies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Made adjustments to their benefit package to include 401k, vision, dental, short and long term disability

    Cons

    Management says they have an open door, but if your "dots" don't line up with theirs or you don't agree with their view point, your opinion is null and void. I have personally seen the CEO cry because of arguments or issues no less than 3 times. They say they have a culture that fosters employee growth, but really it's a facade. It's a toxic environment that I would recommend applicants steer clear of.

    Grow. You're a young executive team and have a lot to learn.

    Pros

    Working from home is a major plus. Some flexibility. The job isn’t too difficult

    Cons

    These are all things within a certain team not the entire company. Number one con isn’t lack of communication within the company. Be it things not getting communicated at all, not with all invoked in said work, or communication being done far too late. The lack of communication has made things extremely difficult.     Advice to Management

    Hire managers that actually will properly communicate with their employees. Actually communicate with employees, all employees on a team so everybody is told the same thing.

    Pros

    If you can stomach it through the beginning, you can get experience in a lot of stuff.

    Cons

    There are too many to list. The benefits are terrible and if they could run it like a sweatshop, they would. Management likes to create "bonuses" that are laughable and goals that are unattainable, then wonders why no one is motivated.

    Advice to Management

    Try actually making your company a good place to work instead of structuring a bonus around positive reviews to convince people to work for you. The company has low reviews until March, which looks like when the bonus was announced, because suddenly they are positive. Any potential applicants reviewing this company observe this.

    It gives someone the opportunity to grow their skillset. Learn to multitask better and roll with the punches.

    Cons

    If you have any sense of justice at all, this is not the place for you. You have a 50/50 chance of getting an honest manager.

    Stand up, even when its the unpopular thing to do.

    We are growing very fast and there are many positions now and will be more in the future as we grow and develop. One of the reasons I chose to work here.

    We are running out of room! But this isn't really a CON Con, it's great!!

    Room to grow if you know the right people. There is opportunity to work from home.

    Cons

    Starting to see that the don't hire or at least promote the best people for certain positions. They seem to worry about who they may offend and not looking at what the company needs. They have a few passionate people who they should promote and allow to grow and take hold of certain areas but instead its more based on politics and friendships.

    I would say the upper people including the CEO need to start really looking at who they have in certain positions and ask are they the right fit. Look at those that are pouring their hearts into certain projects and ask why are they not getting the promotion and we are hiring an outsider with no knowledge. training for management on how to treat their teams, and also true readings of employee satisfaction.     Just two months ago datafile technologies rating on Glassdoor was 2.5 stars if you notice its almost 5 stars now. It changed so much over the past two months because they are literally begging employees to write positive reviews we were told our bonus depends on it.     Start properly vetting employees! Several employees you’ve hired recently don’t know the basics of using a computer. I shouldn’t know more than my managers and csc’s it’s a joke!     Pros

    I've worked for DFT for nearly six years. I love that I feel consistently supported and valued as a team member and as a human being. Being a remote worker is a dream - I can focus on my job, yet my supervisor and co-workers are just a call, text or IM away.

    Cons

    Because we pride ourselves on timely client service, we are tied to a "normal business hours" schedule. I love having weekends off but would like flexibility in working hours.
