  • Came from a very corporate work environment, so as you can imagine, the change was a complete 180 for me (in 21 reviews)

  • Very clickish especially regarding upper management (in 10 reviews)

  • The sales floor has no communication with the "Creative" department, so our hard-earned sale can become a charge back for something you didn't do (in 7 reviews)

    Pros

    Just like the title says plus you learn interesting side of the advertising business working with small to medium-size businesses. Challenging but can also be rewarding.

    Cons

    Sometimes the fun culture is a little overboard when you're trying to work. When time is money and you're counting on other teams to fulfill their responsibilities, and they don't because they're short staffed, management needs to do a better job of staffing resources for appropriate work follow through.

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to be open to feedback and focused on solving process issues so the company doesn't fall sort on customer expectations in an end-to-end process of serving those clients. This has been an issue especially when the company moved forward on expanding capabilities without perfecting business process that was already present.

    Pros

    Excellent work environment, team focused, and lots of room for growth and advancement. I have been been here for nearly 4 years and enjoy my team, my hours, and benefits which include a great work/life balance which is a huge bonus. I have seen this company and the services evolve as technology is every changing which is very promising. Overall great company and great opportunities here.

    Cons

    I don't really have anything that stands out that is a concern regarding the company or my position. Overall very pleased with my experience here.

    Advice to Management

    I have enjoyed the leadership and knowledge that management displays. Lots of opportunity to grow and develop skills thanks to management.

    I have been working at DataSphere Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    What's left of the staff is very friendly! The Company plans parties, monthly lunches and a yearly summer picnic. Free parking, coffee and tea are provided. The CEO has an open door policy and is willing to take suggestions for changes and improvements to our products.

    Cons

    Company has done 2 massive lay-offs in 3 years, the last one was 3 months ago and they wiped out 95% of their Customer Service Department along with all of the Managers. They moved Managers from other departments who aren't qualified to run a call center and the quality of service to our customers is failing miserably. They don't care about the handful of employees left behind to pick up the pieces, they just pile more and more work on everyone! No communication and no compensation!

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people in Custoner Support, NOT SALES, give your current employees increases and the time and tools to provide excellent customer service! Hire experienced Managers to run Customer Service, not Marketing Managers!

    Pros

    People are friendly, processes are documented and good support exists. Systems work well. CEO shares updates regularly followed by lunch. CFO makes good financial decisions. HR team is great.

    Pros

    If you work hard, commission is great. Laid back environment.

    Cons

    High volume of cold calls. Product is not dynamic, and reps aren't provided with the tools to sell the product properly to mid size or large accounts. Massively high turnover. Sales reps are not treated as professionals (though in fairness, many employees do not act professionally)

    Advice to Management

    Ensure AE's are treated with respect. Be more selective in hiring process, or establish a separate team with more proficiency requirements and tools to pursue higher level accounts.
