Terrible Management + Hours but Easy Work
Mar 26, 2023 - Game Technician in Virginia Beach, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
• It’s an easy job, a good amount of the time you’re doing your own thing fixing some games you need fixing. • A good amount of the time the Game Techs are a pretty small group of employees, usually 4-7 people. With that you usually end up being closer with your coworkers.
Cons
• When training they give you all sorts of shifts (just to train you) But especially if you are low on staff, expect to be closing 90% of the time. • Barely making a dollar above minimum wage, at times you’ll see them hire people for more than what you got yet you don’t get a raise yet. • Most of the managers are good but the few that aren’t wrote me up even after I didn’t work here anymore.

Decent flexibility, terrible pay
Apr 21, 2023 - Game TechnicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working on the games was about as good as I expected it to be. Lots of flexibility with work dates
Cons
Pay raises only go up 50 cents every 6 months unless you go through people all the way up to the VP of the company Technicians start at a lower pay rate than anyone else. Even the dishwashers made $2 more an hour than us Constantly busy or expected to be busy. Projects, Running VR, Covering WIN circle, cleaning, responding to calls, fixing games, its nonstop some days. Guests love to batter you for stuff out of your control Regularly got out super late because the company kept moving back the bar and kitchen closing time, making closing take longer and longer. Tech Blocks required for moving up are all out of date and you cant move up without completing them. Absolutely no vertical movement. Very little if any recognition for work.

Pros
The people I worked with were cool
Cons
Literally everything else. Customers are the worst and the kitchen got backed up every day, only making customers act worse than they already were.
