    Pros

Fast pace work environment making it a great place to learn. The employees were very welcoming.

    Cons

I have trouble finding cons about working there.

    Advice to Management

I can not give advice to management given I have no experience as a manager.

I worked at David Evans and Associates (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful team of fun people. Awesome management!

    Cons

Accounting software is severely outdated and not up to industry standard. If they would update this they could cut back on manpower and be so much more efficient. After experiencing industry standard software at other companies I was unable to go backwards and adapt to DEA's inefficiencies.

    Advice to Management

Management is very kind and hands-on, they are great! Ditch the outdated accounting software, listen when you are told there is a better way, pay attention to what the industry is utilizing. You will be so much better off and will attract and retain top talent.

I worked at David Evans and Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Progressive west coast ideals
    Opportunity for advancement
Employees take an interest in each other and the community

    Cons

Fluctuations in work lead to excessive focus on utilization rates of individual employees.
Delusions of grandeur in upper management

    Advice to Management

Forget about competing with huge international companies and focus on doing what you do best.

I have been working at David Evans and Associates part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good work/life balance and cultural values. Generally, nice people to work with.

    Cons

Poor benefits, and a myopic, "numbers" focused practice that doesn't value employees and their long term contributions or potential.

I worked at David Evans and Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you're an engineer or construction worker, you will be top notch to this company. Some people are good "fits" and others will be unfortunately left to the wayside.

    Cons

Not enough adequate training with so much detail to keep up with. Communication can be clouded and hard to interpret.

    Advice to Management

Have your best trainers in place before bringing on new staff.

I worked at David Evans and Associates as an intern (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The schedule they work is great because you get every other Friday off. The people I worked with were all nice. They did fun activities outside of work to help with team building.

    Cons

There wasn't much training given and the work that I was given was limited. There was no offer of work after the internship was over.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice if there was more training in the different functions for the interns and a possibility of a job offer after the internship is completed.
