    Pros

Fun atmosphere, hands-on, get to go to a lot of different places to install that you would never have access to, good people to work with in the studio and office, good/respectful managers.

    Cons

It's freelance so booking jobs is very inconsistent. Pay is ok, and raises/promotion almost never happen. Also no opportunities to learn other things, like floral design or carpentry, very segregated in that way.

    Advice to Management

Teach long time freelance production assistants new things. Some are very capable and eager to learn more.

    Pros

This is a great place for creative thinkers who are also organized and can thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment that expects excellence. It's small enough to feel like a family, but large enough to produce really impressive events at the highest level. This is the place to be if you want to be doing your very best work surrounded by the very best people in the industry, and have the performance to back it up.

    Cons

The fast pace and high expectations are not for everyone. For some, the Brooklyn location may be a drawback (though a plus for others)

I worked at David Stark full-time

    Pros

Company has very talented and dedicated coworkers. Some of the most hardworking people in the industry.

    Cons

Pay is not good for the long hours you are expected to work. Lots of late nights-early morning overtime and occasional weekend work. Few opportunities for advancement. The team has done amazing work in the past, but projects have a set formula so work can start to feel repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Continue working on work-life balance. Push for new opportunities to innovate.
