I have been working at Davis Applied Technology College part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very friendly, calm work environment, great lunch some times, make lots of friends. And extra words to fill in the twenty word minimum.

    Cons

could use more hours. Could use better pay. but overall there is not much negative that i could say. Add more hit the minimum amount.

    Advice to Management

Yehaa! Way to go. Got to love it. Don't stop now! keep up the good work. and a few more words to meet the minimum amount.

  2. "Esthetics management have very little knowledge of how a salon/spa is ran."

Current Employee - Esthetic Instructor in Kaysville, UT

I have been working at Davis Applied Technology College

      Pros

Good pay, flexible hours, fun students

      Cons

•Esthetics department is extremely hard to work for. A lot of power struggles between leads. •Management seems to hire personal friends and family. •Estheticians are suppose work under a licensed Doctor, although he is rarely seen or consulted with. •If you have a genuine concern about the program, students, or staff you will have a target on your back. •Passive aggressive management

      Advice to Management

Get some educated experienced management in there that aren't in the "clique" there are obvious problems in your esthetics department. Students and employees complain about them all of the time! Listen.

I worked at Davis Applied Technology College full-time

        Pros

The other staff members are great

        Cons

From the top down, they are horrible to their employees. So much drama. Vice presidents, HR and Program directors are the worst. Will not support their staff.

        Advice to Management

New Management, they are the problem

        Cons

High School drama environment/tons of gossip

        Advice to Management

You undervalue the majority of your employees and over value people who should not have been allowed to work here for 15+ years.

        No opinion of CEO

I worked at Davis Applied Technology College part-time for more than 8 years

        Pros

The programs are good, the other instructors are good, the students are good and motivated. It was a rewarding experience helping the students grow.

        Cons

There can be poor organization at the course coordinator level, there was not a raise given to any instructors in the ten years I was there.

        Negative Outlook

I worked at Davis Applied Technology College full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

The Students and their excitement to learn and progress in life!

        Cons

To much politics, they pretend to listen and do nothing. If you do speak out about changes needed, they will work hard to make you fill uncomfortable and hard to stay employed there.

        Advice to Management

Be more professional and diplomatic about situations.

        Positive Outlook

I worked at Davis Applied Technology College for more than 3 years

        Pros

Great Leadership and Teamwork throughout the School. Very happy to have worked with so many professionals. Wages are also good, with a benefits package to match.

        Cons

Advancement can be difficult unless restructuring is underway. Sometimes different leaders within the organization have their own way of trying to get things done which can lead to an overlap off authority.

        Advice to Management

Diversity can be helpful when looking for a unique perspective. Sometime homogeneous backgrounds can keep progress from developing and cause stagnation.
