I worked at Davol full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There is stability in being part of a large medical device company. The focus is meeting the expectations of the stock holders. And based on their growth they continue to succeed.

    Cons

The work/life balance does not exist in many departments. It is an internal political company when it comes to advancement. If you not willing to play the political game you will not get ahead. Benefits and salary are average.

I have been working at Davol full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very thorough and complete interview process. Had a great feeling for the people, responsibilities of the position and the product line.

    Cons

Not open to "new ideas" or new way of doing things (i.e. working remotely).

    Advice to Management

Revise relocation "package" so monetary amount is not paid as a "lump sum" (and as a result, taxable to the employee). In addition, consider remote employee work arrangements in this day and age of the virtual office. These changes would allow you to attract better talent more easily.
