I have been working at DayJet full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Jet-taxi - shared ride - your schedule. An idea who's time will come again - this still remains the time in my career where I learned the most, worked the hardest, and believed until the very end.

    Cons

DayJet ended - because partly of hardware issues with the Eclipse 500 jet, some measure of a marketing struggle in acquiring "mind share" in business travel - but in the end because we expected the market to embrace a new product "proof of concept" idea with full financing for profitability growth. Just "wouldn't fly" in the 2008 crash market.

    Advice to Management

VC model had changed; we tried to apply a year 2000 dot.com growth financing structure in an era that required a measure of current profits - not potential. In retrospect, we should have "market share owned" a couple of key jet-taxi routes (say from BCT to Tallahassee, Tampa & Naples) and grown from there. Live & learn.

    Pros

The employee relationships and abilty to work as a team were outstanding!

    Cons

Management was OK and of course the company went Chapter 11.

    Advice to Management

Be more receptive to your employees.
