I have been working at DayNine Consulting

    Pros

Lots of opportunity for growth and experience. DayNine provides an environment that is friendly and not shy to promote. Very great co workers who are all very intelligent.

    Cons

Often you get thrown into the deep end very quickly without guidance. This can lead to stressful moments, but can also lead to accelerated growth. Very much a sink/swim kind of place.

    Pros

Workday is a solid platform and has grown marketshare each year since inception.

    Cons

Workday is a poor partner and can't be trusted as they will push business to larger implementation partners.

I have been working at DayNine Consulting full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The culture at DayNine is the best I've seen in nearly ten years in the industry. There is constant collaboration inside the offices. At the same time, you're giving the freedom to do your job as you see fit - no micromanagement; no set work hours. Work hard, play harder is such a cliche, but it couldn't be truer here. You're going to work harder here than you probably have anywhere else in your career, but it'll be worth it every single day. I also think individuality is really celebrated here. DayNine isn't a group of suit and tie robots clocking in from 9 to 5 every day. The people here are some of the best co-workers I've ever worked with. DayNine's interview process is pretty lengthy, but you can clearly see the results. We truly hire amazing people, and it's awesome to come to work every day with a team of individuals who are great at their jobs. Overall, DayNine is a vibrant group of spectacularly talented individuals, and when you get a group of fun, intelligent people together all working towards a common goal, the limits are endless.

    Cons

We are a young company - founded in 2009. If you are looking for a company that has everything figured out - rules and procedures in place for everything, this isn't it. There are times where no one knows the answer to a seemingly simple question, and chaos can ensue trying to figure it out.

I have been working at DayNine Consulting part-time for more than a year

    Pros

A fantastic and incredibly supportive work environment. There is a lot of freedom with the job and an incredible amount of potential. The company is growing at a rate of 60% annually and allows for a lot of movement through the company. It has also been one of the most social offices I have ever worked in. It really makes work feel less like work.

    Cons

Consulting in a very client heavy business that mandates a lot of travel. If being away from home for 3-4 days in a row about twice a month is not an issue and you enjoy traveling then this is the place for you. The office is very fast pace and people are coming in and out all the time; coming home from travel or leaving to a client site.

I have been working at DayNine Consulting full-time

    Pros

DayNine is the place to be! The work is extremely fast-paced and never the same 2 days in a row. Because DayNine is a smaller company - everyone is client-facing and we get the chance to work with progressive (they did buy Workday after all!) client executives every day. There are many examples of people who have started as a Jr Consultant and moved up very quickly. The other employees at DayNine are smart and fun and have become some of my great friends!

    Cons

DayNine doesn't have all of the infrastructure and defined processes and resources that bigger, older companies have. Sometimes this means you need to "make it happen" yourself.

I have been working at DayNine Consulting full-time for less than a year

    Pros

DayNine is a company not for the light-hearted. We are an ambitious company that demands ambitious talent. Other competitors create a cookie-cutter positions where you sit in a chair day-in and day-out doing the same things. Those companies make you the middle-mad between actual clients and offshore outsourcing. I say this with first-hand experience with those other companies. Innovation is allowed! DayNine will not hold your hand. They assume that if you got the job that you have a brain and are willing to use it. Not to say that we are not a team willing to help out one another, because there is plenty of help. You are expected to bring a certain level of talent to the table. That expectation also carries the privilege of allowing creativity. You will not find that at other companies. DayNine is flexible and agile. They do this by empowering each and every employee. Compensation is fair, not too high, but at the same time not too low. Opportunities are everywhere. There is room to grow in every direction. The career paths are seemingly endless due to the rapid growth of the company. They treat you like you are intelligent. This is sometimes mistaken for lack of structure, but I see it as an empowering method. If you do not want to empower an employee, put them in a box. If you do want them empowered and innovative, let them out of the box and make decisions. let them craft the methods that work.

    Cons

If you want hard-core structure, this is not the place for you. Like I said above, if you have a brain, you want to exercise it with creativity and innovation. Companies that do not allow that have an immense amount of structure. Ok, fine this is technically not a con.

"Excellent team atmosphere and ability to grow your career"

I have been working at DayNine Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

DayNine's Values and beliefs very closely align with my own. I always feel like I am encouraged to be open and honest. My feedback has always been taken seriously and change has generally occurred based on feedback from DayNine's employees. DayNine as an organization doesn't behave as if they always have all the answers, but they are always adapting as needed to make themselves and their employees better. Some consulting firms don't put a lot of stock in growing their employees, but with a quarterly performance review process, DayNine takes it very seriously.

    Cons

It can be difficult to balance work and personal life. You need to be willing to speak up for what you personally need in order to be successful. If you are not a self starter that can work independently at times, this may not be the place for you. Fast learning is essential.
