      Pros

Experience, free CEU's, helps to carve out your "niche" in the field, quite a good amount of PTO/ holidays

      Cons

The pay is atrocious as is the insurance benefits. However, the worst part about Daymark is the leadership. I met many people in leadership, from different locations, and all of them were in the wrong positions. It made for an incredibly toxic work environment in a position where burn out is Already so high. It's a very hard place to work for that reason and I'd recommend moving on as soon as you can when you are fully licensed.

      Pros

Awesome and supportive clinicians. I think they are the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Was work from home for several months throughout pandemic, however they did have staff go back to the office now. Supervision is reimbursed if you commit to working their for 3 years. Some of the clients I have met and worked with during my time here have been awesome. I liked very much being able to provide assistance to people in the community.

      Cons

Pay is awful, ALWAYS understaffed due to high turn over rate, and the work is extremely tough. You are expected to pack as many assessments/see as many clients as possible during the day , all while your phone is ringing off the hook with requests, limited to no breaks in between sessions. You are expected to have paperwork done in a timely manner, and this typically means working through lunch if you are able to take a break at all, working after close, or on your free time in which you will not be compensated for/paid overtime. Management is clearly overloaded. They are there when you need to make a call and express concerns, however they are not there to ever do a check in and see how things are going, give helpful feedback, etc. As an employee at Daymark, you are left in the dark about much of the changes and what is happening until the very last second. I was unable to ever get a straight answer on anything, especially from the HR Department. There is limited training here upon hire, which means you feel stagnant in your skills, which is a problem as majority of the clinicians are provisionally licensed and wanting to learn to be better mental health providers. For a non-profit, they are entirely too focused on making money for the organization, which I am not sure where it does as it is not in the staff's paycheck or the building that is clearly old and falling apart.
