Stale looking office - needs update!
Promised a new website due to problems with the existing one. Still no change. Made the sales groups job much harder.

    Advice to Management

Specifically Sales Management - Hold everyone more accountable for their job responsibilities.
Decorate the back office with the same pride you have for the public client spaces.
Your 'marketing' group needs serious improvement but I saw some improvements in my last 6 months.

I worked at Dazian Fabrics full-time

    Pros

Good customer base and a wide range of products for the entertainment and event industries. The company enjoys a long history in the theater industry.

    Cons

A serious void in qualified management and a lack of ethics make the employee experience hard to get excited about. Marketing department is non existent. No performance review system is in place to reward those who exceed expectations. Accountability is rarely placed on employees in key positions. No formal training programs are available to new hires. Ownership does not solicit feedback from all levels within the organization. Internal communication is poor on issues ranging anywhere from HR related to product availability. Many who work for Dazian want the company to succeed, but time and again it seems to be its own worst enemy.

    Advice to Management

Have a consulting company come in and evaluate Dazian. When that evaluation is done, listen to what the results are and implement the suggestions you receive. It will be money well spent. Face the reality that you don't know it all. It's all right to seek out help.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Dazian Fabrics full-time

    Pros

Some good employees. Good products. And fabrics. Good salary. Hourly Employees and installers are the best thing they have going for them

    Cons

Commissions not paid. No customer service. HR is lacking. Employees are not held accountable for their actions That affect other locations. No marketing materials and Website has been under construction for years. The company is still doing business like it was back in the 1980s No innovation and no desire to change from the top down. During the interview and hiring process they extremely oversell the company and within weeks you will find out it is not all it is cracked up to be

    Advice to Management

The culture of the entire company needs to change starting from the top. Just because somebody has been with the company for quite some time does not mean they deserve to be in that position
