I have been working at DePaul University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My department chair is very supportive and gives me wide latitude to shape my courses. My experience with DePaul students has also been positive; they are generally engaged and hard-working.

    Cons

Department politics and the strong views of full-time professors prevent me from engaging more with the university.

I have been working at DePaul University (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work environment, university setting is vibrant with plenty of resources and opportunities for students and staff, people who work at DePaul end up staying for many years as they really enjoy it and find a home here.

    Cons

The campus is split between Loop and Lincoln Park locations which is a bit tricky for scheduling meetings and events, but the L works well and students/staff/faculty are used to making the 15ish minute trek.
