    Pros

The Benefits are amazing. The hours are flexible

    Cons

Too many lay offs. I believe that DeVry will be completely shut down within the next couple of years.

I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great place to acquire experience working within the adult learning education sector

    Cons

Huge disconnect between upper level leadership (home office) and the employees representing the organization
Lack of vision and/or inability to comunicate that vision to employees on the front lines

    Advice to Management

At the local level- do the best you can to keep your team motivated by filtering the top down mandates. May improve long term?

I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good place to start. there are also some knowledgeable people here.

    Cons

Since new CEO, clearly focused on the bottom line, which in this case seems to be the stock prices. Teams have difficulty communicating which often cause issues for end users. Teams quick to pass the buck when something goes wrong.

    Advice to Management

Focus on providing great service to end users and not cost per employee. Heed metrics and and advice from other teams and reports.

I have been working at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    None anymore

Used to be able to have a great quality of life and now after over a decade upper management tells the engineer how to build

    Cons

Management "dream" engineering fails for everyone and especially the student...

    Advice to Management

    Trust your engineers

I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some people there are kind, nice, etc.

    Cons

Many people are unkind...I assume it's because everyone is worried for their jobs due to multiple rounds of layoffs each year. There have been multiple strategy changes which impacts goals and objectives and needing to identify realignment every couple months. Management has no clear vision for future, it's only what will make enrollments now.
You can get high performance review ratings and never get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the departments and what the teams are telling you. They have shared insight but it seems to constantly fall on deaf ears.

I have been working at DeVry Education Group (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours. Compensation. Benefits. Remote work available. Business casual. I can't really think of much else.

    Cons

Incompetent management. No clear career development for anyone at the call center, if any. Excessive micro-managing. Career training courses are out of date and offer no insight into new CRM systems. Misuse of basic CRM systems.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to engage the worker and just treat the worker with dignity and respect to their goals.

I have been working at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are ok. Telework is a plus. Colleagues are nice and become your friends. Some room for growth. Building is nice.

    Cons

Lost CEO and CFO within a week.
Registrar services restructuring is truly in shambles. Management was ill prepared to deal with these types of changes. Everyday more changes and org moves are made that effect the lower level employees and reduces morale. Team leads are not knowledgable on actual processes and more interested in sucking up to management. If you ask a team lead a question they have no idea and have to go ask someone higher than them for an answer.

    Advice to Management

Stop blowing smoke. We see right through your fake positive attitudes !

    Pros

Was once a great place. Flex work and helping students is great. Lots of people truly care about student success.

    Cons

Awful leadership now especially in IT. No focus on people anymore just on the CIO looking good to upper management with bogus made up metrics. Sad... Very sad

    Advice to Management

Try to keep people that really care rather than smooth talkers that produce nothing and hire people to just agree and go along.

    Pros

Excellent compensation, good team and work ethics...

    Cons

superficial senor leadership... poor vision, lack of commitment to work- life balance, remote work,

    Advice to Management

trying to build a culture of care? After you destroyed active and vibrant cultures that existed within the organizations you acquired? Leadership needs to fundamentally change, get close to students? We WERE close to students. Culture change BEGINS with acknowledging the differences in organization structure and philosophy. Not arbitrarily forcing integrations in the name of COST SAVINGS!
