    Pros

Great work environment and nice place to work. There are plenty of internal advancement opportunities, but the variety of jobs could be limited.

    Cons

Limited job selection for advancement, you can either move to SSA or Admissions, longer hours two days out the week.

    Pros

The people, technology, and collaboration at DeVry are top-notch and make it a great place to work.

    Cons

Leadership far above even the team supervisors have a very myopic viewpoint when it comes to the business, so change is slow and often in the wrong direction.

I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some people there are kind, nice, etc.

    Cons

Many people are unkind...I assume it's because everyone is worried for their jobs due to multiple rounds of layoffs each year. There have been multiple strategy changes which impacts goals and objectives and needing to identify realignment every couple months. Management has no clear vision for future, it's only what will make enrollments now.
You can get high performance review ratings and never get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the departments and what the teams are telling you. They have shared insight but it seems to constantly fall on deaf ears.

I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits were good. Some people cared about your well being and success.

    Cons

I worked for DVG for 13 years and was very under paid, overworked and disrespected. I was informed I was not even making the min for my pay grade. They did nothing to bring me to where I needed to be. Management and hr was very unprofessional when discussing advancement opportunities. Had to work tons of OT to try and meet objectives at the sacrifice of spending time with my child.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and realize the amount of work is too much for the staff the budget allows. Evaluate your HR policies that are not followed. There is a lot of favoritism going on. Evaluate how your managers are treating people since it is unprofessional especially to discuss individual performance at a department meeting.
