    Pros

DeVry is a great place to utilize skills and advance. Coworkers get to know each other, what others' roles are, and are willing to coordinate on projects and in meetings.

    Cons

Managers do not get to know their employees. It's sad that managers are stuck up in this way; as there are many great employees that can help and be brought up to management levels, too.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, meet with them on a regular basis and get to know them so they can help

I have been working at DeVry Education Group (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours. Compensation. Benefits. Remote work available. Business casual. I can't really think of much else.

    Cons

Incompetent management. No clear career development for anyone at the call center, if any. Excessive micro-managing. Career training courses are out of date and offer no insight into new CRM systems. Misuse of basic CRM systems.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to engage the worker and just treat the worker with dignity and respect to their goals.

    Pros

I can't think of one good reason to work for DeVry. If you are extremely desperate and are starving...I guess that would be a reason.

    Cons

Leadership was the worst I have ever experienced. I have many of examples of unfair and unethical treatment.

    Advice to Management

Finish cleaning house and get HR professionals that are professional and not villains that cares very little about people!

    Pros

You can get your degree for (mostly) free through one of their institutions.

    Cons

    There is rampant favoritism.

The work you produce doesn't matter, only how certain decision makers feel about you when making their decisions.

They really limit your career and only care about the advancement of certain people.

They don't care about the students and offer a sub par educational experience.

I worked at DeVry Education Group full-time

    Pros

For the sector, DeVry is a quality provider of educational services. Nice working environment and employee tuition benefits (although they've been reduced).

    Cons

Poor management practices and low integrity from a couple of Senior executives driving large turnover and low engagement. Shrinking market in for profit education. Benefits being reduced every year. Frequent RIFs. No work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Really evaluate some of the Senior Leadership team members and clean house.
