I worked at DeVry University full-time

    Pros

    There were no pros. Zero.

    Cons

Everything. This was the worst job experience I ever had and actually quit within a month of employment without having a back-up job, because I couldn't take it anymore. You are literally trained to brainwash youth and adults that getting an education at DeVry is wise, when in reality they are better off attending a community college. I had too much integrity to fool the public into thinking DeVry is not a garbage institution. Oh and "Admissions Advisor" is a fancy word for telemarketer at DeVry. Yes, you will be that annoying person who will call hundreds of people daily and try to sell them DeVry.

I worked at DeVry University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    flexible work schedule, employees, salary/benefits

    Cons

constant change, higher up management was heartless with employees during layoff

    Advice to Management

Don't lie to your employees, if you know trouble is in the pipeline, be up front and honest about what's going on and allow people to decide their future with your company. Don't promise something that you know you can not fulfill. Remain honest and ethical with salaries and increases. If a person meet and exceed requirements on their evaluations compensate them properly and don't change the pay matrix when its time for raises that ironically don't allow your employees to get increases. Finally, before you change something, give it ample time to work.
