DeWalt is extremely effective in building brand loyalty, effectively creating ambassadors of both corporate staff and worksite consumers.
Typical corporate cycle. Top Line growth is initially supported by high level directors that are SALES type managers. As business peeks, SALES type managers are replaced by ACCOUNTANT type managers focused on managing expenditures. Work force is slashed, every expense item is questioned, and employee moral is compromised.
Advice to Management
Pick a game and stick with it. Create an effective business plan and weather the storm. Having employees that are afraid to answer calls from Head Office during SLASH season does not create loyal team members.
