DealRoom is made up of an extremely talented team of people who inspire and motivate those around them each day.
Cons
No cons; happy to be part of DealRoom!

Pros
The job is remote- that’s all the pros
Cons
Toxic workplace Constant criticism labeled as “feedback” Upper management does not listen to the voices of employees CEO and HR talk about current & former employees in a negative way No consideration for the unlimited PTO or end of workday CEO fires people out of the blue, and brags about it They give you six months to last here, and a lot of people leave way before then

Pros
When going into this company it seemed as if there were many pros as discussed in the interview. The items discussed and promoted about the company were false.
Cons
- the company has a high turnover rate - Not flexible for hours or benefits - Negative CEO. He talks negatively about all employees behind their backs - It is a small company. Not room to grow in - it is a very toxic and hostile work environment - the CEO does not know how to lead a team. He believes in tearing people down to mold them into what he wants.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. You should feel happy and successful in your role. You'll find that right fit soon. We will always value having the opportunity to work with you and champion your continued success.

Collaborative, supportive team!
Mar 17, 2022 - Marketing Associate in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Extremely flexible work culture Collaborative and supportive colleagues Very respectful of work-life balance Leadership is very passionate and motivating Smaller team means you can branch into tasks and projects that interest you - huge opportunity for learning and growing new skills
Cons
Personally, I really enjoy working with this company. However, I could see for those that prefer roles that stay loyal to the tasks to the job description, this culture would not be a good fit.

Creative workplace environment and great place to work
Jul 12, 2021 - InternRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working as an Intern for DealRoom, there is always a room for growth. During my internship experience, I have had the complete freedom to work with and bring in new ideas. The ideas are always listened too and an opportunities are presented for me to work on them.
Cons
It is fast paced environment so it does take some time to get used to it and find your place in the company.

Pros
DealRoom is a great place to work if you are hard working and are eager to learn and better yourself. You get the many advantages of working at a small company/start-up like remote working environments, great salary and commission structures, and lots of PTO. If you enjoy challenging yourself and are goal oriented then you will enjoy working at DealRoom.
Cons
Some people work better in a corporate environment and need a very strict structure and process. If you are like me, then working at DealRoom and having autonomy and freedom is a pro and not a con.

Excellent communication and great team!
Jan 14, 2021 - Audio Engineer/Audio Producer in Prescott, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Creative team that clearly cares about the work they do. Answer all my questions in a timely manner. Never have an issue getting in touch over phone if need be. Values the work I do with them. Great coworkers! The Boss is pretty solid as well.
Cons
There really are none in my current position. Have to work weekends sometimes? But coming from a gig working most weekends this is still a huge step up. Would be nice to be able to meet in person, But the position is remote work which is perfect for me right now. And also COVID.

Collaborative, Respectful, and Creative Team
Jul 20, 2017 - Freelance WriterRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
As a remote employee, effective communication makes or breaks a job. The CEO is great at sharing information, keeping remote employees in the loop, and communicating his vision. He is open to ideas, always down to brainstorm strategies, and truly listens to feedback. As a member of DealRoom's Slack (online chat hub), I never have difficulty getting in touch, asking questions, or most importantly, having my questions answered in detail. The team shares documents and feedback, making it easy and enjoyable to collaborate across time zones. DealRoom is a great company to work for as a remote employee. I can't speak to the culture of the workplace in Chicago, but if my phone calls are any inclination, it's a welcoming community of people who work hard to actually get stuff done. There's no old-fashioned hierarchy or corporate policies restricting your ability to do your job.
Cons
Not necessarily a con, but a reality of any startup: not every idea comes to fruition, or stays its course. As long as you're open to change and ready to adjust with ongoing iterations, you can thrive at DealRoom. If you need rigid structure and strict guidelines, it may not be the best fit.
