Pros
Dealer Car Search is an amazing company. We stick together, and we kick a**. It's not perfect, but I have really enjoyed the team of people that I get to work with while dealing with independent car dealers around the country. As a customer service rep, the job is pretty relaxed, because the worst thing I can tell a customer is either "it doesn't do that" or "I'll have to ask a developer." Everything else is just helping dealers navigate systems like Google, Facebook, and web browsers. Thankfully, no one has called in lately while trying to use Internet Explorer. Direct management is [chef's kiss] excellent, and coworkers are extremely helpful.
Cons
Dealer Car Search started to become more corporate a few years ago. Nothing drastic happened, but I think they are slowly killing the golden goose. DCS's claim to fame is our down-to-earth and technically proficient customer service based out of Louisville, KY. That is slowly shifting, and I sadly expect DCS to become "just another" website provider in the next 5-10 years.

Thank you so much for the kind words. In the last year we have begun to offer remote work for employees, as well as in office and hybrid offerings. Very flexible.

Pros
It is exciting to work for a growing company. It is a demanding job, but the rewards and opportunities are worth it. Great management and owners. The owners do things to show their appreciation pretty regularly like: give out recognition awards, they provide lunches for the entire company several times a year, there is a monthly birthday cake to recognize employee's birthdays, they have super nice holiday parties, they give holiday bonuses to everyone, there are commission earning opportunities provided to non-sales people. I'm sure there is more, but that is just off the top of my head. Owners contribute to everyone's 401K after 1 yr of working here - it's not a match, just a straight contribution! They provide generous PTO from day one. Nice new building. You can tell the owners took employee's happiness into consideration when they designed this place. The break room is one of the nicest I've seen with both indoor and outdoor seating. Cubicles are more like mini-offices. Lots of natural light - I don't think there is a person in the building that can't see outside from their desk. They even put in a walking track that employees can use before/after work or during any breaks. Good coffee and real cream - not the powdered stuff. Great hours - No nights or weekends required. Team atmosphere. A place where it is evident that the CEO, CFO, and all the Managers really care about both the company and everyone who works here.
Cons
Everyone is measured by the same metrics so if you are someone who just wants to draw a paycheck then this company is not for you.

Pros
Weekends off. Getting off 5:30. Hands-on training. Receiving help from the more experienced colleagues. Managers emphasize hard work & integrity. Helping newer colleagues is highly encouraged for any and all employees. Etc Etc
Cons
Working with clientele is over the phone. Prospecting and cold-calling car dealers is emotionally and mentally straining at times.

Pros
No other place I've seen can you work only five days a week, 9-6 and earn the kind of living you can make for yourself here. That's just it though, it's "the kind of living YOU make for yourself." That also means you you will lay in the bed you make for yourself. It's those who are hungry, and motivated to elevate themselves who find themself at home here. You have to be professional enough to decide that you are willing to go get what you want for yourself. I wouldnt want to work with any other kind of people. Theres no secret sauce. Will over skill everytime. Determination goes further than talen ever will. You are given the tools and the answers from your trainers and peers. Just put in the work and the results follow. I would still be here, but I left to fufill military obligations.
Cons
Everyone wants to get paid what they think they are worth untill it becomes time to put in the work. You will either be the person who succeeds, someone who learned a lesson, or the guy that comes up with every excuse as to why you aren't where you wish you were except looking at the guy in the mirror. You will find out which of those three persons you are here.

Pros
There are many pros for working at Dealer Car Search. One being, they listen to their employees ideas for improvements. They make sure you are well compensated for your time and effort you put into the job. The environment here is very team oriented which in other sales jobs that I have had in the past is not the case. And the upper management treats us as part of their family instead of just a number which I appreciate greatly. At DCS they are constantly improving and innovating our products that inevitably changes the landscape of the automotive industry due the clout we have. When coming on board I had one on one training and they were very quick to help with anything I needed to succeed and those qualities still continue today. Furthermore, I have grown my income exponentially since I have started. The pay plan is very generous and they provide 401K, great health benefits, and paid time off PLUS we have the weekends off! What other sales jobs provide weekends off? None. If you enjoy doing sales and like to work in a team oriented family atmosphere that is salary based, plus uncapped commission potential, and residual commission this is the place for you.
Cons
They are no downsides working at Dealer Car Search.

Pros
No pros for Dealer Car Search.
Cons
Don't trust the reviews! The CEO forces employees to write only good reviews on here, and it is apparent by the lack of genuine responses. The CEO will have a refutation for this reviews, but please do not dismiss this review flippantly. I have nothing to gain from this review, my only intention is to inform future curious job seekers. STEER AWAY FROM THIS FIRM! The CEO is abusive and power hungry. He brags constantly about how well he is doing, and what he has just recently purchased. He doesn't care about employees nor does he care about the profitability of his company in the future. The retained earnings go straight to his pocket and it is not returned to the business nor the overworked employees. The platform for the Dealer Car Search is a good platform, but that doesn't come from the CEO's brain trust. I don't want to speak to harshly about the CEO or other levels of management. My biggest concern is to inform job seekers about the facade that is Dealer Car Search. Stay away from here as far as you can because the leadership is toxic. Like I said previously, I have nothing to gain from this review, I just want to be the beacon of light the for job seekers. Stay away from the CEO and stay away from Dealer Car Search.

First of all I do not force anyone to leave any reviews. This review has been left by the same FORMER EMPLOYEE three different times. He changes up the review every time to make it look new. So if you see any other 1 star reviews on Glassdoor they all came from one person. Glassdoor needs to come up with a way to screen and verify these reviews so the public can get a true picture of what is actually going on inside a company. This person has an ax to grind with me personally and is completely misinforming folks with lies and completely false information. I reinvest large amounts of money back into the company every single month, we have substantial cash reserves, I give generous raises, I pay more than any similar company, I give back to numerous charities, Kids Cancer Alliance, Habitat for Humanity, and Homeless Shelters just to name a few, and I also give lots of money to my church. This person no idea what he is talking about.
