    Pros

    The company has very good values. At it's core it still feels like we are trying to build a product to help people with their needs and it's not overly focused on profit margins etc.
    The workplace is very friendly, and the supervisor that I worked with was able to work on my professional growth at the same time as looking out for the needs of the company.

    Cons

    Work is very specialized. Hard to get outside of your niche, although there are some programs starting to grow that help people explore.

    Pros

    Great environment. Smart, energetic staff. A lot of growth opportunity. Good pay. Great benefits. Good location. Great food. Great Summer party.

    Cons

    Health care provider is lacking. Home office in Atlanta is out of touch. They recently laid off their Corporate Social Responsibility/Volunteer coordinator/building art curator person. Huge mistake as she was the main energy behind the company. Huge loss to the company that will not be replaceable by anyone on the current staff. They just don't have the personality or the passion to pull it off.

    Advice to Management

    Get a better health insurance provider ASAP. Rebuild their wellness/community giving/"Life" team, they're out of touch with only 1 or 2 quality employees on the team that really give a sh*t.

    Pros

    Strong compensation for the Burlington area.
    Generous PTO policy (starting at 24 flex days in 2017 for new employees).
    Work-life balance is great for most engineers, and management is typically relatable. Occasional work from home is typically possible.
    Great job perks, company events, outings.
    Great company culture.

    Cons

    Medical insurance through parent company doesn't have many providers in VT.
    It's a big company, with lots of typical corporate overhead.

    Pros

    I can honestly say I enjoyed nearly every second at my time at Dealer.com. Possibly the best thing I can mention was how incredibly smart the people on my team were. At no point did I ever feel I wasn't learning anything. They follow scrum process to a T, but it ensures that you know exactly what's going on and holds everyone on the team accountable. The management are relaxed and open to ideas and suggestions. At the end of the day, the power truly falls on your team. In no way is this a top down company. The CEO is concise and clear and you don't feel as if he is trying to BS you. This is a company I would easily take a pay cut for every single time.

    Cons

    The HQ is in Vermont, it was why I left otherwise I would still be there.

    Advice to Management

    Stick to your high standards and keep doing what you're doing.

    Pros

    The first thing that you notice about this place is the culture here. People are super friendly. From a software engineering perspective they are open to new technologies and as a developer you have all the freedom. The best part is the hackathons.

    Pros

    Dealer.com not only cares about the services they provide and their clients, but they also care about their employees. I have never been with a company that does so much for their team. In house gym, personal training options, massages, volunteer days, networking events, etc. With all of these offers, and the amount of pride you feel in the office, I never want to leave this company.

    Cons

    The ONLY thing I feel is a con is that the capacity of their main building was filled and they opened another building down the road. This building does not have the same type of energy you feel over their, but I feel like it will build the more we grow.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!
