I have been working at Dean Foods full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    They pay a decent wage.

    Cons

The management is terrible. They just put people in m default. They may know accounting but have no management skills. Still a good old boys club and not many women are being promoted. They pound down that Dairy Pure is worth more but if you think about it the milk comes out of the same cow. Same milk in the private label bottle. All cows have hormones and Dean Foods dairy farmers pledge what? If you test for hormones they will be there. Oh come on milk is milk.

    Advice to Management

Why not promoter from within. Stop creating all these jobs. EHS for Logistics, EHS for Supply Chain and on an on. Then the same with HR. They have a week bottom line because money is spent on duplicate positions. They create AOP's that you can't obtain but some managers will figure out how to beat the system. I don't they figured out that is is just milk yet. Price of milk goes up most customers are on formulas.

I worked at Dean Foods full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

.Good company, great products, i was able to really represent the items i sold as quality.

    Cons

When oak farms( our brand) and Schepp's merged, I could not represent Schepp's as quality. I had had too many customer complaints about it. I was also having problems from a fall in a frozen vault. Dean Food's bought me out.

    Advice to Management

Women are not made to work crated milk but they are still useful.

I worked at Dean Foods (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Dean Goods has a laid back environment, pays well, has a good management team. Dean Foods has very good benefits.

    Cons

Many employees are not held accountable for their unprofessional behavior. Too much drama in the office environment. Favoritism is shown to some slacking employees.

    Advice to Management

Hold all accountable. Some office personnel are working no more than 6 hours a day while being paid for 40 hour weeks. Several taking up to 40 days off a year when they have 20 days. Several work half days while being paid for full time employment at the DFAAC. Stop the childish drama in the office.

People are pleasant to work with for most of the departments. Roles are generally project oriented. Never dull as every day is a little different.

    Cons
