I worked at Deckers Brands full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great discount. Good team, decent 401k, and learning opportunities. PTO and sick timie.

    Cons

Crappy schedule. Only get one weekend off a month. Not the best work life balance. Theft is a daily reminder that customer service/retail is a crummy field. Don't get to use PTO or sick time.

    Advice to Management

Work on a more flexible work schedule.

I have been working at Deckers Brands full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Deckers Brands is that parent company of UGG, Sanuk, Teva, Hoka & Koolaburra. I have been blessed with an awesome leadership team here and because this is a new office there are many opportunities to progress your career. The benefits are great and are better than the health insurance company that I previously worked for.

    Cons

I have come from a background of large multi-national contact centers and this office is a small contact center that grows exponentially during the company’s peak season. Because of how young of an office it is a lot of the procedures and policies that you would normally find established within a contact center have not been ironed out yet. In some ways I don’t see this as a Con because it does allow you to put a lot of yourself into the business rather than adhering to policies where you had no imput.

    Advice to Management

Adherence is key to solving some of the problems that we facve on a day to day basis.

    Pros

Great work environment that is relaxed and caring with great benefits.

    Cons

Lean team for a global brand. Need more roles within specific departments in order to be successful.

    Advice to Management

Focus on hiring the right people. At time I feel that they rush the hiring process.

I worked at Deckers Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Casual work environment, many social activities and other perks. Discount on shoes is great. Cafe on campus is convenient. Onsite gym with instructor guided fitness classes.

    Cons

Major restructuring of the organization in effort to boost profitability negatively impacted morale (obviously). Right next to the Goleta airport.

    Advice to Management

Complete the build-out of the vacant building on campus

    Pros

    World class brand experience
Omni channel growth brands - which are fun to work on and learn about
Awesome opportunities to see behind the scenes of successful brands
Good opportunities for learning (conferences, etc)
    Lots of really nice people

    Cons

It's a boys club when it comes to raises, promotions, moving up the ladder. Women seem to be overlooked time and time again.
Party / drinking culture - If you like to party - you're IN. If you're introverted - you're out.
Competitive culture that pins people against each other and creates toxic environments.
    Zero work / life balance

    Advice to Management

Get rid of managers who aren't supporting a progressive workplace for Women
