        Pros

Many great people, good work environment, brand leadership across several of their key categories, solid relationships with key customers, very strong operations platform

        Cons

I worked at Del Monte Foods full-time

        Pros

Talented team that works hard to grow the business. Good people who take care of each other despite many challenges.

        Cons

Difficult category (canned fruits and vegetables) with low growth and margins. Leadership focused on the bottom line sometimes at the expense of the people and culture.

        Advice to Management

Don't underestimate the value of culture and transparency to drive results, solve complex problems and support talent retention.

I worked at Del Monte Foods full-time for more than 6 years

        Pros

Good people, good processes, and a excellent chance to develop multiple skill-sets. Senior mangers get-it but are close to retirement. Lots of shadow training or trial by fire which makes it a fun fast pace environment.

        Cons

There is little opportunity for advancement. Position titles rarely depict the true level to which you are producing work too. Raises are 3-4% when you exceed your requirements. Historically this company has been a trading card for investors which means every 8-12 years you will have new investment owners which at times have changed 401K, medical, & dental.

        Advice to Management

You have the opportunity to be stable in todays economy if you don't loose key players. All salary staff should be part of the bonus structure not just select people. Especially when lower salary staff are conducting process improvements that save you millions.
