I have been working at Del Taco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, discounts on food, Second Chance employer, open 24 hours which allows different choices for when you work, always hiring.

    Cons

Pay increases are hard to come by, training can be sketchy depending on which store you go to, call ins create a very stressful environment

    Advice to Management

Keep your word when discussing opportunities for growth with current employee, I not keeping your word you are undermining any loyalty or trust that has been gained previously.

I worked at Del Taco (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They're the worst company you could consider, no REAL management going on. I was never really trained. Hired for f.o.h and ended up working everything under the sun, I don't mind but I was never trained accurately. Managers all had different ways they would do things, some cut lots of corners some only cut a few. But don't expect any growth, work there 4 years as a team member never promoted always promised then given an excuse. They like positions to forever be empty so they can not pay for it but that means everyone else picks up the slack. They will try and get you to sign resignment papers, even if they are letting you go. So be smart, know your rights as an employee and maybe consider anything other than this... 😂

    Cons

No communication with corporate to handle any complaints, if you want a transfer it's your responsibility to basically interview at other stores and find out which stores are hiring. Which is confusing if you know what your doing and have been doing it for years! NO ROOM FOR GROWTH.

    Advice to Management

Management should definitely manage the store, they all do things differently and cut corners whenever they can. It's hard to know what standard to hold yourself to everyday when there's no steady expectations or duties.

I worked at Del Taco part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was a great environment. I enjoyed the staff and eventually became friends with some of them. The customers are pretty funny.

    Cons

They were understaffed the majority of the time. I was given full time hours even though I wanted to work part-time. I was almost always scheduled on days that I requested off.

    Advice to Management

    Work on scheduling..

I worked at Del Taco part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Well, it is a good place start up when you have no experience at all. It is fun to know how to make the tacos and all kinds of food.

    Cons

It is a low pay job. Schedule/ scheduling is horrible. Poor management and no structure for new people to start up.

    Advice to Management

Rather than just video/ online training, I would suggest you guys can add more real training, such as one week training with a experienced co-worker.
