    Top down company, difficult to advance beyond a point, can get trapped into one technology

    Don't downsize the best talent out the door simply because they command a higher salary - you get what you pay for.

    OK work environment, great benefits, talented people, flexible.

    Cons

    Dell appears to be gutting storage and treating it as a cash cow outsourcing many functions overseas.

    Be honest about future plans for the storage division.

    Great people you get to work with everyday. Committed to solving customer problems and making it a great place to grow professional skills and build long lasting relationship with other professionals

    Cons

    Finding mentors is not easy! Opportunities to grow vary greatly by the business and Sr. VP you work for. Hard place to navigate if you are new.

    Advice to Management

    Keep attracting younger generation to work at Dell and bring fresh ideas. Find more training opportunities for those new to Dell...on the job training is not enough

    It is a company that has a lot of opportunities , very innovative , at he edge of the technology, and many times leading the course of the trchnology trends.

    Pros

    Diversity and inclusion and other corporate social responsibility efforts are strong. Lots of opportunity to build a reputation and learn. Work from home options and work/life balance is great.

    Cons

    Diversity and inclusion does not extend into upper management, internal politics and land grabs must be monitored and maneuvered around.
