I have been working at Dell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Go-go culture of technology, accountability, and customer focus. Good blend of large company stability and entrepreneurial spirit. Regular "top places to work" for Global companies. Decent compensation and opportunity.

    Cons

It's a big company that sells consumer and enterprise infrastructure, so not as hip as a start up. Lots of different products, solutions, and business units within the company can make it tough to navigate.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course, they generally have the right ideas and are doing a good job.

I worked at Dell as an intern

    Pros

Work life is very flexible. It is easy to work remotely. Almost everyone works part of their week from home.

Dell is entrepreneurial. Everyone is empowered to change processes with little to no approval needed. If you have a great plan to improve your job, you can just do it.

People are direct in praise and criticism. Everyone knows where they stand at all times.

Everyone, especially leaders, are held accountable. Performance is king. If you are contributing or developing your subordinates, you will rise.

    Cons

Because processes are so easy to change, Dell often has redundant processes.
