I have been working at Dell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

So far it has been a really good experience. Everyone seems friendly but it is a very big company that is of course for sure

    Cons

There is a bigger mix of high and low performers than at my previous companies so that makes it a little more frustrating if you are a hard worker

    Advice to Management

Keep acquiring big companies and let's take over the it world. I hope emc was just one of several big purchases we made

I have been working at Dell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The organization values their employees, their opinions and suggestions. The morale with employees I encountered is always positive and the employees are eager to do as needed for the customers and the organization.

    Cons

A personal con, would be the travel required for the position. I have traveled for work for many years and would look to reduce that to a minimal capacity. I have no problem travelling, but not looking to travel weekly any longer.

I have been working at Dell full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Dell EMC is one of the best companies to work for if you are looking for a work/life balance. In some positions, you have the ability to work from home full time, others you can work from home part time. It's a great benefit!

    Cons

With the merger, we are still figuring out how it all fits together but from what we've done so far, it's fitting together quite nicely!

Products and services that are leading edge

    Cons

There are quite of few policies/processes
It is a very busy with many initiatives

    Advice to Management

Keep on disrupting ourselves - challenging the way things may historically have been done

I have been working at Dell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Every leader I have had has been extremely focused on helping me meet my career goals and develop professionally. They are very flexible with working hours and family obligations.

    Cons

HSAs just shift costs from employer to employee and try to disguise them. This is my only complaint and will cause me to look elsewhere when we eventually eliminate the PPO altogether.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about the HSAs - you're just shifting costs from Dell to the employees, and it annoys me when it's marketed as this great thing for me. I'm not dumb!

I have been working at Dell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working at Dell is always exciting- there is never a dull moment at the office. The culture promotes a flexible schedule as long as you get your work done. A lot of people work from home at least some part of the week. They really care about their employees and listen to their feedback. The job is constantly evolving and challenging.

    Cons

Still a cube farm and fairly outdated offices for a tech company but they are not investing a lot in offices because of their strong approach on working from home. Like any other corporate company, there is a lot of politics.

    Advice to Management

    Continue listening to your employees!
