I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Everyone, from admin to executives, were all very positive, it was a great atmosphere. Salary was competitive and annual raises in my opinion, were amazing. They treated us amazing with great benefits and quite frankly I really wanted to give it my all. Great job with great Employer.

    Cons

If your office is in a large downtown area, San Diego/Los Angeles/Seattle for example, employees didn't get parking spots and had to use a parking garage. First, employee had to pay for weekly/monthly fee with no reimbursement and second, sketchy people hang out in parking structures so the security should be well patrolled which would help to prevent robberies and assaults.

    Advice to Management

I really enjoyed my time at Deloitte for so many reasons, not just what I have here. I think you should NOT have sold our group and kept us. boo.

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exposure to various clients and high levels of responsibility at early level! Supportive and fun coworkers and great benefits if you take advantage of them (vacation/health stipend)

    Cons

Long hours sometimes extend beyond typical "busy seasons". Really need to make business case if you want to do an additional assignment outside normal client load.

    Advice to Management

Spread work more evenly, less emphasis on exceeding hours goal.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was in the business valuation group, which was great for building fundamental technical finance knowledge and modeling skills. Hours in bval aren't too bad outside of busy season.

    Cons

Pay in the valuation group is awful. The vast majority of the work is post-deal and is just for financial reporting or tax compliance purposes. In other words, our work isn't that important, but managers treat everything like we're saving lives. Bval is aligned to Advisory, and Advisory is doing awfully compared to Consulting.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Potential for great learning opportunities is high.
    - Competitive pay and benefits
    - Work with some of the best that the industry has to offer

    Cons

    - Taking all of the PTO offered can be difficult
    - Follows industry norms in requiring long hours during certain seasons, can depend on team/office expectations

    Advice to Management

Clearer promotion/salary expectations and transparency. $$ talks are fairly hush hush, and creates an atmosphere of dissatisfaction when people feel like their raise/bonus/promotion was less than expected.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work environment, good base salary and benefits

    Cons

Ridiculous amount of work, not your typical 8 hrs per day, halftime of year work like 12 hrs a day and sometimes weekend. No bonus for staff as other big 4

    Advice to Management

Need to provide a work balance life for employee, specially for PR region

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Strong Name Brand in any almost any Industry and usually rated the top partner in the Gartner Quadrant for most technologies (Salesforce, SAP, etc)
-The Deloitte name looks great on your resume (not many companies are in the same league)
ot many companies look as good as the Deloitte name on your resume
-Mature Methodology that enables you to have more structure
-Talented Co-workers who generally lean towards being Type-A
    -Great Benefits
-Best pay out of all Big 4 and also in Industry but of course still lagging behind BCG, Mckinsey, and Bain but they're competency is more in Strategy/Management whereas Deloitte has competencies in more areas
-Extra holidays and free stuff (entire week from Christmas to New years was given to us paid as well as other days here and there which don't come out of our PTO bank; we also get free things like $500 wellness subsidies which can be used towards massages, gym memberships, etc., also received a free Alexa 2nd generation/Google home assistant)
    -Access to good training

    Cons

-Hours can be long depending on project
-Deloitte attracts Type As so although you work around talented people, they can sometimes rub you the wrong way since many are very competitive
-Too much emphasis on Firm Initiatives (work outside of project work which includes recruiting, practice building, sales pursuits, white papers, etc); more so than other firms
-Inability to transfer to other countries since the business model is Partner-Owned (technically you have to quit and then apply in the new country)
-Can sometimes be elitist when it comes to hiring entry-level employees unless you have a very specific, in demand skillset that's hard to find (usually only hires from top 50 schools)

    Advice to Management

Be more honest about the PTO reduction. I was hired mid 2018 and HR told me that I would be receiving 25 days of PTO but it wasn't until a few months after I started that I realized i was only getting 22 days out of the year. Apparently D shortened it by 3 days. This needs to be communicated better
