I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary, brand recognition, top-tier clients, good culture (in large offices), hours vary drastically but mine were not bad

    Cons

VERY hard to roll off projects, partially because the company organizes everyone in to WAY too specific of groups. Was on a project with very high margins and a 20-ish person team for 2 years. As I tried to roll-off, I was told I could not because of the strategic importance of the project. The project was continuous and I was no longer learning anything new. Ended up leaving the firm because it was easier and burned less bridges than rolling off my project.

I started out of college because of the appeal of bouncing around and trying different things, but I ended up essentially being an employee of my client doing the same thing for 2 years.

A lot of administrative hassle- like hours every week updating various things. Very cog-in-the-machine

    Advice to Management

Stop restructuring the groups every year. Nobody I worked with even knew what group we were in because they are so specific and always changing. My team was thrown in a random group because we didn't fit anywhere else, but I was still unable to leave that group.

Also, get more office space in NYC!! 30 Rock is beautiful, but my team was told we can either squeeze 10 people in a 6 person room or use our own budget to find other office space. We work for YOU, and all we ask for in return is a literal place to do that work.

In general though, management is over worked and doing their best.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are so much fun to work with and are very personable. The variety of projects you get to work on is also a nice change of pace. Management is very eager to try to get you placed in something you'll enjoy.

    Cons

Being outstanding rarely differentiates you at the lower levels unless you're absolutely extraordinary due to utilization being a huge performance metric. Efficiency and optimization is not encouraged.

    Advice to Management

Add another more significant performance metric

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great exposure to M&A - worked with large PE firms on noteworthy transactions

Amazing team - very knowledgeable and friendly team, interested in helping me develop

    Cons

Long hours - many times worked more than 70-80 hours a week.

Travel required - can be a pro if you like to travel, once a month on average for a day or two

Pay isn't the best - there are more competitive options to go to after working here for a couple years

    Pros

Great perks, constant learning, travel the country or world, work with smartest people, very fun and supportive culture

    Cons
