I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary, travel perks, super smart employees, etc.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits, You get to work with smart people. Great client exposure.

    Cons

Low wages (compared to non-public accounting), long hours, unreasonable expectations, not appreciated if you do not know how to sell yourself. Will not hesitate to throw people under bus no matter the relationship.

    Advice to Management

Try to understand people's concerns and appreciate the hard work they do.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Incredible benefits (fitness subsidy, $20/day for fitness classes while traveling, great alt travel)
Lots of young people-- it's easy to make lifelong friends here
    Deloitte University
    Training is extensive
Company is very open about changes being made at senior levels

    Cons

    100% travel gets exhausting
Inflexible work/life balance (we technically have a flexibility practice in place but I have yet to be on a project whose leaders actually allow it)
Rigidity in your role-- I got placed in SAP when I started out of college and was told that I could "own my career" and network onto projects that interest me. However, it's very difficult to do that because everyone they surround you with is only concerned with your utilization in your service line. The counselor program that they tout is worthless because people who don't want to be counselors become then and pay little to no attention to their counselees, who often need some guidance and advocacy. My counselor only cares that I'm staffed on an SAP project.
Sexism on teams, especially for women in BTA positions

    Advice to Management

The high expectations/demands for our client work makes managers and senior managers on projects care little about the health/happiness of their campus hires. Even though senior leadership sends emails out about unplugging and flexibility, I've found that it is rarely impelemted on the project level.
Additionally, getting penalized for seeking opportunities outside of your service line/area if they are unhappy/uninterested makes people want to leave the firm, which is probably one of the reasons why turnover after the first two years for a campus hire is so high.

    Pros

Incredible culture where support comes from folks around the world who may not have ever worked with you! If they are an expert in an area, they lend their support!

    Cons

Obviously the travel can be tough sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! And please continue to support and value higher education.
