I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very small probability that you will get excellent experience that will set you up for a long and satisfying career.

Project based work means you get a broad perspective of how problems arise and get solved in big companies.

    Cons

You most likely won't get valuable experience until Manager level (6+ years)

"Analysts should be neither seen not heard" culture on some projects

High probability of getting stuck on a single project for 3+ years.

All incentives for analysts encourage avoiding project work and doing as much internal stuff as possible. Internal activities do not translate into skills, contacts, reputation or knowledge. They are designed to make you feel busy with activities that cannot be added to your CV.

Overtime expected and not compensated. No time off in lieu in consulting.

Limited educational support. Requires 2+ years to be eligible for funding. No study leave allowed. Restricted to project management courses only.

Much lower salaries than the equivalent positions in other countries.

Consistent values exist mostly on marketing materials and hiring drives. Cultures vary across teams.

    Advice to Management

Management are aware of many of the problems and often talk about them at firm events. Recently, leadership havealso begun to acknowledge that they keep talking about the problems but haven't fixed them. My advice would be to fix them.
