I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. Work/life balance - remote opportunities, tools needed to be successful working anywhere geographically
    2. Office spaces and locations in the DMV is amazing
    3. Top notch people to collaborate with
    4. Extensive learning opportunities
    5. Training and mentoring

    Cons

    1. Comp / raises are low. However, Deloitte makes up for it with the total comp package and environment. People (like me) stay not because the raises are good but because overall it's an amazing place to work.
    2. Client challenges - the work can be demanding and draining. After 6+ years here, I needed a change because I was so exhausted.

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Deloitte has a positive and collaborative culture, excellent perks, flexibility, benefits. I was respected and considered an expert in my field. I had many opportunities to move within the company and built a great set of skills.

    Cons

My salary increases were not competitive and promotions were elusive. Sometimes leadership attempted to motive through negative means.

    Advice to Management

Advocate for those who report to you. Your staff makes huge sacrifices to make the leadership look good - be there for the staff to help them in their career.

I worked at Deloitte as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits like paying for your MBA, and really commit to your development. Have very good mentorship policies in place.

    Cons

Not many that I can think of. Great company overall just not always ready to hear the thoughts of interns, which is true of most companies.

    Advice to Management

Just make sure you listen to everyone even if they are new. Even if you don't agree, shows you aren't old-fashioned.

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very Professional and structured. Good training and benefits. Company has a very good reputation within the industry. If you do leave Deloitte on good terms they are willing to take you back if you decide to do so.

    Cons

Just like with every large company, you can get lost if you do not know who to reach out to. Sometimes you have to go through many layers to get an answer but you will get an answer after a few phone calls.

    Advice to Management

increase the amount of care and feeding to the employees to retain them.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Medical and Dental Benefits. 25 days of vacation/year hat roll over if you don't use them, or get paid out to you if you leave the company. Tuition reimbursement. Fitness subsidy of $500/year! Flxibility in some roles to work from home 100% of the time. Great company on your resume :)

    Cons

Lots of red tape. The hierarchy is obvious. You need lots of approval to do anything, even scratch your butt! If upper management suggest you do something, it's mandatory, even though they pose it as a question, or a favor, or suggestion. Lots of beurocracy. Leadership is not direct. You have to read between the lines. They ask a lot of their employees. More than 50 hours per week of work.

    Advice to Management

Walk the walk. if you say you're transparent, then be transparent.
