I worked at Deloitte full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Deloitte's name will go far on your resume. The hours you're expected to be at work is from 9 AM - 4 PM. Some projects will allow you to work from home. Certifications are paid for.

    Cons

Extremely low pay and the rate at which it grows will be worse than switching jobs every two years vs getting a promotion every two years. Utilization metrics penalize you for taking PTO and going on holidays. If you join as a college graduate, your project options will be limited to whatever gets thrown your way. They will tell you that you own your career, but my experience has been that it ultimately comes down to...

    Advice to Management

Increase the pay so people have less incentive to quit. Over the course of the year, I've seen most of the new hires quit exactly one year in to the job for double the pay (100k+), me included.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Big Brand to be associated with. Lot of exposure Learning and Development

    Cons

While hiring people, they sell it as a zero or less travel roles especially any ERP Consulting positions ( SAP, ORACLE, etc ). But once you get recruited, its the same as core consulting where you are expected to travel 80 to 100 percent. Do not believe if some recruiter tells you that its a less or no travel role in USDC.

    Advice to Management

Please do not mislead the applicants saying that the travel is zero or less in USDC when the reality is different. At least set the expectations right in the beginning in the interview itself so that applicants can make the decision which suits them the best. We relocate and deal with all immigration issues only to find that what ever was told about travel in USDC is a BIG LIE.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - Benefits are top notch - Expense and Time Tracking systems are easiest/best in the business - Bench is handled well

    Cons

    - USDC program is a joke. They sell it as equivalent to core consulting minus the travel when it's anything but. - Travel is heavy and expected. It's 2018, need to be more flexible - Salary isn't quite competitive - Culture is pretty nonexistant

    Advice to Management

Things are changing in the workforce and the old model is not sustainable. Deloitte will lose its place as the top professional services firm. Deloitte preaches people first but treat their people poorly at times.
