    I have been working at Deloitte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Senior team members really take the time to guide you through your work with give meaningful, constructive feedback.
    There is a large breadth of learning opportunities and projects, giving you the chance to find an area or niche you prefer and develop yourself in.
    Your viewpoints and contributions aren't dismissed as a junior team member, especially if it's pointing out mistakes or contradictions.
    Senior team members do their best to make themselves available to you for mentoring or to chat about projects/issues.

    Cons

    Sometimes, the adage "talk the talk, doesn't walk the walk" is evident. Work/life balance especially can be hard to maintain if you aren't very vigilant about it, and can across as rich when are you trying to educate companies about better w/l balance when you yourself don't receive it.

    Advice to Management

    There are a lot of good things happening in Consulting at Perth, but it can definitely be approved by doubling down on our approach to work/life balance and making sure it is truly maintained.

    I worked at Deloitte as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    * People are extremely inviting and great to talk to.
    * Great opportunities later on in the career.
    * Sociable but productive environment.
    * Buddy program is great for new people.
    * Did a project completely different to my experience.
    * Management and partners especially are very open and welcoming to conversation.
    * You're able to work at your own pace (It's great if you work at a fast pace)
    * Paid

    Cons

    * Feedback mechanisms are too rigid.
    * Constructive feedback is put as a second priority behind "focusing on your strengths".
    * Mild brainwashing about culture and values, can seem superficial.
    * Even though 'speaking your mind' is encouraged, the culture enforces that you don't deviate too far from the norms.
    * Paid minimally.

    Advice to Management

    The internship program was very good, I loved it. Like I said, there are some hugely positive factors about the experience I had. Namely being able to ask questions freely, as there is a great understanding about the lack of experience I had previously - everyone knew I was a spud, but a smart enough spud to be there. Management was 5/5 in my opinion, not much else could have been done to make it a more valuable experience. If I had some feedback, it would be to change the feedback structure. Some people might like to not like to hear their weaknesses, but as we were only there for 4 weeks I was craving more constructive feedback. When I did manage to get some feedback on my weaknesses, it was vetted and carefully worded. I believe that some people respond differently to different feedback, and for myself, I would have preferred a more direct approach.
