I worked at Deloitte (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good compenstion, talented people. a lot of opportunity to grow if you have a specific skill and a network to exploit your talent.

    Cons

They don't practise what they preach so it can be difficult to understand how to get things done. LImited investment in ideas, must be revenue generating immediately.
They want you to work on your weaknesses instead of exploiting your strengths.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Flexible work options
    - Training opportunities
    - Opportunity to pursue your passion simultaneously
    - Freedom to get involved in cross functional projects and activities across businesses and even at a firm level
Hence, good place to build your resume. Though a wrong place to join as a fresher....

    Cons

    - Work culture is deteriorating
    - Managerial effectiveness of the Senior Management is going down, especially- on the Talent Management side of the business
    - Senior Management has a care less attitude and acting politically- driving more professionals to leave the form
    - If you have a God Father- like a Regional Talent Director protecting your career- even if you do wrong- you get away-- Unfortunately that's what makes you stay away from the firm

    Advice to Management

    - Its important to 'Walk the Talk' rather than doing otherwise and playing political games.
    - Remove the 'Care- Less Attitude' - it ain't helping any one! Unfortunately, its showing up too in the work culture.
    - Give credit to the professionals working hard- even an acknowledgement would suffice- you don't need to think far and always focus on the 'BIG PICTURE' as its the small things that will matter eventually.
    - Value & Promote professionals who deserve it- rather than playing political games there
    - Judge performance appraisals using SMART GOAL- again Unfortunately - its talked about, however, none 'Walk the Talk' as shared earlier.
