    Pros

Great benefits! Interesting work and very bright and motivated teams.

    Cons

It is not a 40 hour a week job. Only way to earn additional vacation is by going the management route. There is no avenue for additional vacation time due to length of employment.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time

    Pros

Salary and hikes are pretty good. You have to negotiate a good pay during recruitment. Hikes are decent ( four to five percent)

    Cons

Not much growth in AMS practice.AMS practitioners are not seen the same as the consulting Colleagues. This affects the morale of the employees

    Advice to Management

AMS practitioners are not seen the same as the consulting Colleagues. This affects the morale of the employees. Not much growth in AMS practice

    Pros

The company provides good benefits. Healthcare premium is pretty low. Employees get lots of holidays and PTO.

    Cons

The company gives the employees a lot of Training. Some of the online training may be irrelevant to your industry

    Advice to Management

Please provide spend more time training the analysts. They can get lost with Deloitte system on the first month

    Pros

benefits and salary is competitive. Great work culture, variety of projects and open door policy. Higher management is always approachable.

    Cons

AMS as usual can be compared to other mass recruitering companies, same old issues - nothing much productive, not great incentives/hikes

    Advice to Management

    Reinvent AMS line

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Training (if there's time to attend)
    Pay
    Good client work
    Community service participation
    Travel

    Cons

    Expects people to work 24/7
There is no such thing as worklife balance
If work contributes to the firm, but not the service line's bottom line, you're out
Talent Management/HR is a joke; the most incompetent I've ever seen
    Management is out for self
Counselors are very lazy and out for self; will not go to bat for you
Consensus is a joke; discriminatory comments are made and laughed about, no accountability

    Advice to Management

Start listening to your people: HR/Talent Management does not know everything.
Stand up for your people against other leadership and clients; don't sacrifice your people for the sake of a dollar

    Pros

You will learn a lot on the accounting side in a short amount of time simply because you are "thrown into the fire". You get exposed to a lot of complex issues, but many times have to figure it out for yourself.

    Cons

Work life balance is non-existent. You get 25 vacation days, but with very little opportunity to take these days because you are always so busy and always expected to get the job done.

    Advice to Management

Keep headcount steady by providing a better work/life balance. Turnover is high, and that in turn hurts the people who stick around because they must pick up the hours. Keep hiring and improve work/life balance and you won't have a revolving door of associates.

    Pros

I feel proud to say that I work at Deloitte as a public accountant. As far as the quality of work I feel that the work is top notch and stands up with any of the other Big Four. There are great opportunities globally if you are a top performer and the ability to move into other service lines outside of auditing such as the various consulting aspects. Working at Deloitte you are able to position yourself well for life outside of public accounting if you choose to leave through great networking opportunities and depth of knowledge.

    Cons

Since I joined the organization there seems to have been a downturn in the performance overall which has impacted raises for the employees yet the company continues to tell everyone that everything is okay. My raises have gone down consistently every year eventhough my performance has gone up. This seems counterintuitive to me. The hours are long and it appears that unless you are in the race for the long run you do not see any benefits for being a high performer. There have been no significant wins in my office since I have joined the firm. All proposals that we have made for new work have been lost to competitors because of rates according to the prospective clients, yet no adjustment has been made by management.

    Advice to Management

    Fix it.
