I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

fringe benefits/soft factors: in-house food, travel accommodations, liberal use of corporate card; ability to work remotely, technology, reputation

    Cons

hours expectations; lack of transparency in decision making; never-ending amounts of mundane/administrative work; unnecessary meetings

    Advice to Management

    keep junior employees informed

    Pros

A lot opportunities to have projects in big companies or Fortune 500 and see the business environment in different corporate culture is eye-opening experience.

    Cons

A little bit overtime but depends on service area or project.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Long-term benefits of doing this kind of work with a Big Four firm are unmatched by competitors in the same market

    Cons

Correlative to the the benefits, the hours are generally demanding and sometimes do not seem commensurate with the compensation

    Pros

Good pay as its one of the best in the Big 4 which pays higher salaries.

    Cons

less visibility and treatment of employees is not good. And above all they dont have any factories or warehouses to run like amazon and hence the only investment they need to be doing is spend some money on training to its employees.

    Advice to Management

Give more training to employees. Because that is the only investment you can do to employees

    Pros

    Experience is unrivaled.
    Team members are world class.
    Flexibility can be amazing.

    Cons

Hit-or-miss on work life balance. Some teams get it right. Some don't. Unfortunately it just comes down the people on the team that shape the environment, whether its piddly referral work, or Hugely focused PCAOB inspected audits.
Overall though, Most of office leadership just doesn't care enough about YOU when there are 50 more of YOU that can do the same job.

    Pros

Multi- National opportunities with many different service lines to choose from. Many opportunities for training and travel, communications and staying in sync.

    Cons

Work-life balance, differences in opinion salary issues need to be forced to meet the average.

    Pros

The benefits are good and it looks good on a resume for future interviews (your going to need it if you ever want to advance).

    Cons

NO opportunity for growth for the admins. Raises in this service line are minimal (if any sometimes). The annual reveiw is a joke. It is predetermined how many admins per office can be rated at a certain level. If you would happen to fall into a better level but there are just to many of you at that same level...SORRY...better luck next time. You are micromanaged from the very top to bottom. You spend more time recording what you worked on then actually working.

    Advice to Management

Treat your lower level employees like you would anyone else. "We" are the people who could very well not book you a return flight ;)
