I have been working at Deloitte full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Training courses and learning opportunities

    Cons

Mismanagement, no sick days, leadership across teams is absent

    Advice to Management

Assign coaches, provide sick days that are not PTO, adjust pay scale for experienced hires.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Starting pay to cost of living ratio is decent.

    Cons

I feel deceived. As a campus hire, I was pitched Core Deloitte and received USDC. The two are drastically different, here are just a few differences in no particular order: • Culture • Benefits • Pay • Career development • Project availability During the campus information sessions, students are reminded that they can "own their career" at Deloitte USDC. This couldn't be further from the truth as you're placed...

    Advice to Management

Don't sell USDC as Core to campus hires, it's predatory.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Some of the people.

    Cons

Seems like a lot of things that initially attracted me were lies or half truths. Pay isn’t that great. Work life balance is terrible. No training. Lack of consistency. Some leaders act obtuse at times about issues. Maternity leave isn’t very great compared to Core. Schedule is unpredictable. No tuition reimbursement. No opportunity to branch out and explore other interests.

    Advice to Management

It would be really great if management cared enough to listen to problems affecting the USDC and then finding solutions rather than brushing them off each time they’re brought up.

I worked at Deloitte full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some of my coworkers were cool, and there's often free food.

    Cons

Too many to name. I was lured in with the promise of work-life balance. Work-life balance is nonexistent. Working 16 hour days isn't uncommon. Part of why I left was because I was told I was leaving "early" because I always left at 6. If you're at the Mechanicsburg USDC, expect 60+ hour weeks. Not every project is like that, but many of them are. I was told no every time I tried to stand up for myself, or get shorter,...

    Advice to Management

Be more methodical. There are no structures in place to get work done efficiently and make sure it's right the first time. Everything is absolute chaos and so things get done quickly, but they aren't right and have to be redone, which ends up taking longer in the end. It may seem slower at first, but if you take the time to do it right the first time, you'll be finished sooner, and with less stress. Essentially, if...

I worked at Deloitte full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Deloitte's name will go far on your resume. The hours you're expected to be at work is from 9 AM - 4 PM. Some projects will allow you to work from home. Certifications are paid for.

    Cons

Extremely low pay and the rate at which it grows will be worse than switching jobs every two years vs getting a promotion every two years. Utilization metrics penalize you for taking PTO and going on holidays. If you join as a college graduate, your project options will be limited to whatever gets thrown your way. They will tell you that you own your career, but my experience has been that it ultimately comes down to...

    Advice to Management

Increase the pay so people have less incentive to quit. Over the course of the year, I've seen most of the new hires quit exactly one year in to the job for double the pay (100k+), me included.
