Support of a full service an global company, the biggest clients and in advisory/consulting usually very high profile projects

    Cons

Very high pressure environment, expectation to always be billing time to clients, lots of internal admin with old fashioned IT systems

    Cons

All work depends on personal relationships

    Advice to Management

Improve training and interaction with other Deloitte members across the form and across the regions. More Partner and Staff engagement

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

International and national travel opportunities and working for some household names. Work hard and play hard culture.

    Cons

Very long hours particularly during busy season. Not the best paying amongst the Big4. Retention issues with most people leaving as soon as they qualify.

    Advice to Management

    Pay quals more

I worked at Deloitte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for, that looks impressive on CV. Generally good hours for an Analyst. Meet a lot of new people with a similar mindset.

    Cons

Difficult managing exams with work and a normal social life. Be sure this is a career you want to be in before you join, as choosing to leave as I did can be costly. (contract).

    I worked at Deloitte full-time

    Pros

Guaranteed progression, strong brand on your CV, lots of training opportunities, recognised corporate client base, bright colleagues, competitive pay, graduate community

    Cons

Politics especially at the Partner / Director level can be poisonous, projects at a junior level can be mind-numbing, career incentives work against a team-first mentality, some senior staff can behave appallingly in and out of the office.

    Advice to Management

Incentivise team-first thinking (abolish competitive notions around the year-end process), affirmatively end the boys' club environment, redistribute partner pay to reward the 'greater good' (attribute it to fund more pro bono work and ethically-minded projects for SMEs and third sector organisations).

    - meet a lot of different people
    - good social events
    - good range of benefits
    - good support with exams

    Cons

    - busy season means you are expected to work longer hours with no overtime pay
    - salary could be better

    Advice to Management

review salary levels - they should be higher especially based on the hours worked for busy season (which lasts a few months)
