I worked at Deloitte (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company for school leavers, lots of opportunities, excellent pay, good review system meaning hard work gets recognised.

    Cons

Expected to do same long hours as everyone else despite being on a fraction of the pay.

    Advice to Management

Invest in HR department- so many scholars not going back as graduates, despite a 4 year involvement with the firm, just because HR are useless at sorting out interview dates

    Pros

    Very friendly people, relaxed atmosphere

    Cons

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Culture: so many interesting, intelligent, like-minded people in the office. Good social scene which makes it a really enjoyable place to work
    - Projects: it's always a mix, but if you look for it and connect with the right people you can get yourself on some really interesting and rewarding projects
    - Skills: because your work is constantly changing, you build up a variety of different skills. The more you push yourself and ask for different experiences, the steeper (and more rewarding) the learning curve

    Cons

    - Reward: the package isn't as competitive as what is offered elsewhere - however I feel the work life balance in part makes up for that
    - Bureaucracy: being part of a huge company can often mean it takes forever to get things done when you have to go through various internal channels
    - International opportunities: less travel for projects than in some other Consulting firms (no global staffing); opportunities to second in other offices is very limited

    Advice to Management

    - Improve reward package to be more competitive
    - Set expectations better
    - Act more like a global firm
