    Pros

You learn a ton and there are many systems in place to improve and advance. The people are great and not overly competitive.

    Cons

They have a lot of negotiating power with you around salary and don't have to pay top dollar because they know their name brand is so strong.

    Advice to Management

Pay as much as other consulting companies fighting for top talent and clearances.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Amazing growth opportunities; up or out model so if you thrive in competition and working with peers who are also top performers, then this is the place to be. Great on flexibility and predictability in work-life-fit.

    Cons

Long hours, but if you love what you do and the people you're working with, then it's all worth it.

    Advice to Management

    More office space

    Cons

I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Training
    Stability
    Since of family

    Cons

Utilization, can't take as much PTO
    Rating tied to utilization

    Advice to Management

You need to change things on the federal level, contractors are afraid to take any time off because many contracts do not allow more than 40hrs, people feel chained up by utilization. No work-life balance, we heard about it, but you were not looked as a valued employee if you didn't attend deloitte networking events after a full day of client work.

    Pros

Invest in growth and education, leadership opportunities

    Cons

Dislike the "rating" process for year end performance because of the difference between a 1, 2, and 3 is sometimes unclear for practitioners who are rock stars

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Smart, engaging employees while completing challenging, innovative work. Freedom to build your own brand, network onto interesting projects, and gain experiences across industries and technologies.

    Cons

Work-life balance can be difficult, constant travel, and instability in finding projects. Lack of underrepresented minorities in leadership and in general.

    Advice to Management

Cultivate a more inclusive environment for underrepresented minorities, push for more work-life balance with rotations from travel to local projects, and ensure that employees get on projects that align with their skills and development plan.

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Plenty of young motivated people who start here directly after college
-Most of the senior leadership is invested in their younger practitioners

    Cons

-Stress of outside client work (initiatives) is a bit much especially with how much work some projects are
-Less freedom to jump around between projects when in the federal space. Often times BTAs/Consultants are staffed on long contracts and it becomes hard for them to navigate off of the project. Senior Leadership is hit or miss on either helping them get off or trying to get them to stay or move them to another team on the same contract.
-Lately, pay compared to the other Big 4 has been slacking

    Advice to Management

Stay invested in the young practitioners

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Organized company, great culture, great people, and great potential for growth. Fantastic place for entry level employees with good salaries, benefits, and 401k.

    Cons

You are expected to work a MINIMUM of 8 hours a day but you are really expected to work 9 hour days. Depending on your commute your looking at a 10 hour workday, everyday.

    Advice to Management

I love what I do but it's not the only thing I love to do. If you go to the gym everyday after work like me, shower and eat dinner then you're not left with much personal time. I strongly believe in 7 hour work days and many studies back this up. This leaves an extra hour for commute, which I consider the worst part of my work, and allows the day to be cut into 3 equal 8 hour parts as it should. 8 hours for work, 8 hours for personal, 8 hours for sleep. I truly believe this would create a much happier, healthier and productive workforce.
