I worked at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The firm has lots of great resources that smaller firms don't typically offer.
Professional development is important since the people are the product.

    Cons

This firm is much like other giant corporations. They don't care about you as an individual. There are plenty of people that want a job here so you basically mean nothing to them.

    Advice to Management

Care. Listen, don't just dictate. Compensate people at a level that reflecst their true value to the firm.

    -Good reputation
-Offer funding for certifications and training

    Cons

-Political review process that has changed recently that can be corrupt
-Risk of not getting a raise and losing your job
-If you want to advance, you have to devote your life to your career

    Advice to Management

-Get client feedback in the review process
-Have quantifiable metrics in the review process, rather than just management bias that can honestly be dishonest people or have self interests sadly

I have been working at Deloitte full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits (paternity, maternity and family leave can't be beat)
    - Deloitte Digital brand
    - Lots of project options
    - Ability to travel full-time
    - It is possible to align with good PPDs and SMs and stick with them

    Cons

    - Coworkers will backstab you (sometimes in front of clients) if they are feeling competitive
    - Hard to meet utilization numbers in commercial
    - Have known of projects with terrible management who worked people 85-90 hours per week every single week (not just busy times). Many consultants work 80+ hour weeks regularly
    - Firm initiatives expected

    Advice to Management

Management has been around long enough to know what they need to do to get more money and keep getting promoted. Leadership should step in where employees are practically being abused on projects but there are certainly projects with good management and good work life balance.

    Pros

-Amazing time off, ~23-25 days plus 10 corporate holidays right out of college
-Invest in employees with training, new opportunities
