I worked at Delta Air Lines (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company, great people. I loved going to work. The hardest part was learning how to please the customers, which with constant delayed flights out of my home base, San Francisco, it was a constant challenge. There was lots to learn but it was rewarding, fun, challenging, exciting, and I didn't have to be in the air as a flight attendant. The company takes care of you.

    Cons

Standby kind of sucks sometimes but I never had any really bad experiences.
The wage might not be "high" but if you use your flight benefits it's worth it. You can always work part time and have another job.

    Advice to Management

A higher wage would keep employees longer, but it's not like there is a shortage of applicants. Plus people do end up staying forever.

I have been working at Delta Air Lines part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

One of the best companies to work for, great benefits, and plenty of opportunities for advancing within the company.

    Cons

As a Ready Reserve can't really make plans for personal time off during the 6 month probation period.

    Advice to Management

I really admire and respect management where I work, when the work load gets heavy everyone, and I mean everyone right up to the operations manager, jumps in to help to get the job done getting down and dirty with everyone!!! Kudos to Delta for having such motivating managers!

    Pros

Great flying perks for employees and there families. Profit sharing is at a record high.

    Cons

need to improve the pay for ground employees, seems like every other airline makes more but we generate mo revenue then them . The ready reserve program is a joke they limit your hours to 1300 a year once you hit that number you have to wait for the hours to reset.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the ready reserve program, i get that it makes the company a lot of money. Most employees can not live off what they make a year. Take more pride in your employees offer health care for all your employees, we breath in death everyday . Also just make a part time postion

    Pros

Flexible schedule and shifts available. Work is faced paced and physical, so often feels like you are getting paid to work out.

    Cons

Full time positions take a few years to become available to you. This is fine if you are in school, but may require a second job.

    Advice to Management

Managers are great. They take time to get to know you and your circumstances. If you treat them fairly, they will treat you fairly.

I worked at Delta Air Lines full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Outstanding benefits, great management team, the fact that majority of company is non-union is big advantage.

    Cons

Sometimes expected to work long days to deliver the customer service experience expected from Delta.

    Advice to Management

Continue down path which keeps Delta as one of the best and most respected airlines in the world!
