    Pros

Non-management employees were passionate about doing the right thing. Employees came to work and wanted to be there. They were supportive of a team that was supportive to them. Employees (subordinates) were like family and we worked together to complete goals. Management that hired me were interested in success of the company. Those managers eventually left for other opportunities.

    Cons

Management at district level seemed uninterested in employee morale regardless of success within the team. District level management requested projects that were not appropriate for the department (Creating an HR manual in the finance department). Backstabbing from other members of management. Managers that supported me as a manager eventually moved on and were replaced by managers that were aggressively unsupportive. Excessively high expectations that were impossible to meet. Mandatory overtime for weeks at a time. 10-12 hour days including weekends were expected.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to switch focus from "how much money can we make?" to "what is best for the student?" This switch will attract more students, create a positive environment, and result in (yes) more money. Treat lower level management with respect, especially if they have a successful, performing team. Stop the expectation that managers should work 24 hours per day (work/life balance).

I worked at Delta Career Education Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a paycheck. That is the only upside. Seriously. And it's not even a good paycheck.

    Cons

Where to start. Horrible company, horrible culture, horrible leadership. No transparency. This school is heading down the same road as Everest, which are the people running the company.
It felt like being in high school again, but not in a good way. Imagine every terrible day you had in adolescence, that's what it's like.

    Advice to Management

Read the other reviews and fix stuff! Leadership needs to listen to the people who actually work. No raises in years is ridiculous, and explaining it with trying to keep costs down is insulting. Pay people what they are worth and AT LEAST give cost of living raises CONSISTENTLY.

    Pros

A place where you wore a thousand different hats and got all levels of experience.

    Cons

Worst management and leadership on the planet. Thank God the Miller-Motte Greenville school closed. Regulatory and accreditation violations were too numerous to mention. Actions of certain individuals in positions of leadership bordered on criminal.

    Advice to Management

    Wouldn't waste my breath

Pay wasn’t bad. But culture bad. Not worth it.

    Cons

I was a campus leader.... upper level of management was blind and never really cared for the students.

    Advice to Management

It’s about the students not just profits.

    Pros

    Friendly people, no micro managing

    Cons

Poor training, unorganized, pay not competitive with industry, no raises, moving departments are mostly lateral moves. Run down office and equipment.

    Advice to Management

Get it together and offer some incentives to work there. Listen to employees.
