Pros
I love working for Delta Children. Everyone is very down-to-earth, family style company. Large enough for growth and development yet intimate enough to get to know everyone and work across the different departments.
Cons
Everyone loves the hybrid schedule and we hope they will keep it that way, there are talks of having to go back three days a week now..

Our manager blatantly deprives us from any form of joy!
May 7, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Other teams were doing well and thriving with their job, meaning it's not all hopeless here!
Cons
Our manager was awfully scary, defined his leadership by using authority and FEAR! While other teams were having a good time at work, he blatantly deprives us of any form of joy!

Was awfully TRAUMATIZED and fear washed all over me!

It could've been a nice and interesting job if it wasn't for the owner who was so mean and cruel!
Cons
The owner and CEO are someone to avoid! He makes the word HORRIBLE on an entirely different level and you don't want to see or experience it! I've only met him a few times, but I was awfully TRAUMATIZED and fear washed all over me!

Management Liked Yelling and Using Foul Language
Feb 22, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I am sure that you can find no peace here. The management won't let you have even a few moments of quiet!
Cons
The management made everyone's life miserable. They were horrible people with an arrogant attitudes who liked yelling at the staff for no reason. It was awful to tolerate their foul language in addition to doing my work. They were very rude and disrespectful.BEWARE!

Very disorganized with toxic managers
Mar 19, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Are there any? I doubt it.
Cons
This company is very disorganized because the managers are toxic. The managers only gossip all day and meddle with the personal affairs of the employees instead of actually doing their job as part of the leadership. The salary offered here is also horrible, and the combination of all these negative things results in a high turnover rate.

Do not work here!
Aug 18, 2022 - Production Worker in Neenah, WIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
3 breaks a shift and some people are nice most aren't though.
Cons
Low pay and everyone paid the same amount no matter what kind of worker you are. No moving up in company. Managers play favorites really badly. HR is the same, even though she has done very shady things like steal gift cards they won't fire her. Lots of sexual drama between staff and managers. Yes its brought in the workplace. Messed up place with lots of secrets

Pros
Hmmm - it was a hybrid work environment for a little while? Pay was fine? The one time 1400 bonus during covid was nice?
Cons
I honestly don't know how they are in business. There is no organization for new hires, it's a bit of a free for all, some managers are very nice, some are an absolute nightmare. Some management literally spends 30% of their day gossiping or getting validation from their direct reports about their life choices - it is the most bizarre thing I have ever seen. Every department is silo'd and they do not communicate. In fact, they are hostile to each other. They are super old-fashioned and forced people to come back to office way before other companies did, which left a bad taste in my mouth. It is not a "challenging work environment where you are expected to work hard" - it is a terrible work environment where you are expected to work with little to no support and with people that are unkind.

Company Facts
Jun 20, 2022 - Director of Operations in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Once you're trusted by the President of Operations, you have wide freedom to work on projects anyway you want and which supplier you want to work with. Your expenses are loosely controlled and your suggestions are followed.
Cons
When Management trust incapable people, that's when conflicts and in-fighting brings down company advancement and profits. Also creates groups fighting against each other for power, etc.

The worst job I have ever had was with Delta Children
Jun 22, 2022 - Anonymous Employee in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pros: - Employees received a tax free $600 “Pandemic Bonus” in 2020 and no lay offs. - Flexible WFH policy depending on the team you are on - The office building had a nice roof if you wanted to eat lunch there - Talented employees - During my two years I received 2 raises. Started making 45k and ended making 55k. Better than nothing I guess? My new job pays 70k for context.
Cons
Cons: - Only 10 PTO days a year ( no matter the seniority ) - NO SICK TIME! ( I had covid and was told I would have to not be paid for the time I took off or use my PTO) - They do not give holidays for a lot government holidays like Columbus Day, MLK day or the Friday After Thanksgiving - HR is a mess, routinely took days to answer emails and did not file my tax form properly - Poor project management which lead to rushed projects and miscommunication. - Micro management to the max, Most of my work had to go through my coordinators who already had too much on their plates. I was often staled for hours a day while waiting for my work to be reviewed to continue. They never trusted me to go with what I thought was best even after 2 years of proving I knew my stuff - The way that I was spoken to by management and other coworkers was so not only typically unhelpful ( I would get comments like “ can you make It better somehow” “ don’t know what’s wrong with it but I don’t like it” and the classic “ can you just make it pop?” ), but often simply rude. - I was given projects without any context, I usually had no idea what the other members of my team were working on which lead to lots of confusion and delayed the completion of tasks. - When someone would quit they would just push the responsibilities onto another employee or group of employees instead of replacing them. - They used an international intern service to hire people for cheaper and then replace them when they left. They were still given a full time work load. - No community feel or camaraderie amongst staff. Birthdays would pass with no comment ( there was no calendar kept to keep up ) and the office was so silent you could hear a pin drop. - I never felt like I was on the team, just working for it like a task rabbit. - No room for growth. My team hired mostly entry level people or interns so that they could pay them less and just replace them once they needed to leave for more money. - My boss didn't even answer my resignation letter and HR didn't even bother to give me an exit interview.
